191  Re: Sale tags and displays, I need ideas in Discussion and Questions by dayzi on: November 08, 2005 11:53:20 AM
My sister gave me some tags a while ago that were beautiful..they were a circle, I think made of vellum?  with some metal all around it.

I think I know the tages you are talking about, or something similar. I just picked some up at the Dollar Tree the other day, they look much better then a plain old staples tag will look. 25 tags come in a pack for $1. Here is a photo

192  Help me revamp a dresser turned craft cabinet in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by dayzi on: November 05, 2005 04:22:44 PM
I received this old, ugly, green and white dresser from my sis's boyfriend as he was just going to throw it out. I saw it's potential to become my craft cabinet. It's working out great with room for my sewing machine & for me to cut, work, and store things but I can't decide how to revamp it.

I want it to still match my room, which has mostly medium brown stained wood furniture, black decopaged trunk and I have blue striped themed bedding (shades of blue, white & black). I was thinking of painting the dresser black as the hardware on my tv cabinet is black and so are most of the frames on my walls, but that might just be too plain. I was even thinking of laying a piece of plexiglass on the top so that I could place a yardstick between the 'glass' and the dresser top and maybe a few things for inspiration.  I don't want to paint stripes on the dresser, but I'm stumped for ideas.

Any Suggestions??

193  Re: SuperStars Music Trading Cards? in What the heck can I do with THIS? by dayzi on: October 17, 2005 06:29:38 AM
You could make a purse out of them if you had enough cards. I had a bunch of New Kids on the Block trading cards that I made several purses out of.

194  Ninja Turtle Power Sundress in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by dayzi on: August 13, 2005 02:36:31 PM
I found a ninja turtle sheet at a thrift store brought it home, and before I decided what to make out of it, it was claimed by my sister, to be made into a sundress for her. Being the nice big sister that I am, agreed.  Grin I used a pattern that I had for a halter top as a guide for the top part and just winged the rest for the dress. Here's my sis modeling it.

195  Re: Veet "Bladeless" Razors in What the heck can I do with THIS? by dayzi on: February 28, 2005 07:51:26 AM
I'm not sure what else you can do with the veet razors, but I have an idea for what you could do with the caps from the can. I turned them into tea light holders. Just filled the cap 3/4 the way with glass marbles (so the flame doesn't melt the plastic cap) and placed a tea light on top. You could really fill it with anything sand, rocks, anything that the candle would sit flat on.

197  Light Boxes?? in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by dayzi on: September 30, 2004 12:58:16 PM
I saw this item on ebay (The seller has since been removed by ebay, looks like he was selling the items for $0.01 and over charging shipping to cover the cost of the item and avoid ebay fees) Anyway, thought it might be something I could figure out how to do.

It's a box (plastic?) with a light inside & a plastic poster front. I'm thinking this could be done with a shadow box, lamp kit & transparencies. Anyone have any suggestions or comments?
