1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: New Years Eve slippers on: January 02, 2011 05:05:25 PM
It was a pattern that I bought.  It is from this company:

http://lilatuellerdesigns.blogspot.com/

It took forever cutting everything.  My suggestion would also be to buy bias tape for the straps and binding, save a chunk of time.  Oh and she tells you to use spray adhesive at one point but does not list that in the list of materials.  Other than, it is pretty straight forward!
2  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / New Years Eve slippers on: January 01, 2011 10:42:03 PM
My roommate and I decided to make slippers yesturday.  They took about 12 hours all together, with some breaks, and pretty much took over my New Years Eve plans.  Nothing like staying home with Ken (my trusty Sears Kenmore machine)...

They are super warm.  The fabric is little cowboy boots and a gingham plaid for the edging and ties.  They have foam bottoms and nubby plasticy stuff on the sole for grip.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Harf or Scoodie on: January 01, 2011 10:39:45 PM
This would be either a harf (hat/scarf) or scoodie (scarf/hoodie).  It was from a pattern that my friend brought over, so I am not sure what it was called, but it was super easy.  The outer fabric is some sort of plasticy fake leather and the inside is a fuzzy, fleecy, furry kind of stuff.

whole thing:

and since it just got down into the 20's where I live, I am really getting use out of this!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Shadowbox Heart on: February 13, 2010 12:19:25 PM
So I found this pattern to make a stuffed tattoo mom heart.  As I started making it for my bf, I realized that he didnt need just another thing to have sitting around.  So I made it in 2D instead and put it in a shadow box with t-pins, the kind used for dissections, specimens, and apparently quilting.  The picture isnt so good, but you get the idea...
