12  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Spiked silver & titanium bra, MATURE, 5 pics on: May 04, 2010 08:27:38 AM
I looove this, it's got terrific form and the spikes are surprisingly graceful.  Smart you to include a lining, brrr!   Wink
13  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My first quilt (for a baby girl) on: April 13, 2010 12:20:05 PM
It's adorable!  I think most quilters are over critical of their own work - they see tons of flaws where other folks see just the beauty of the overall quilt.  Congratulations on your first finish!

I don't wrap around a board but around my ruler a la Happy Zombie and others before her:

I like that the fold faces front and the stacks are uniform; you can egt so much mroe fabric in your space if it's folded this way.

It couldn't look better if you planned it!  Tt's a lovely piece of work and I love, love love your embellishments.  I'm hoping to go to VQF this year, al...most...have hubby convinced.
16  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: suggestions for a denim quilt pattern on: March 08, 2010 05:23:04 AM
Here's one that I think is really neat, a faux-cathedral-window:  http://www.straw.com/equilters/library/jeans/jeans_gallbaros.html

Or you could do a stacked coins, or even a zigzag (http://beesquarefabrics.blogspot.com/2009/03/how-to-make-zig-zag-quilt-without.html) using rectangles if you have enough contrasting color.
17  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: ideas for ASL memorial quilt on: February 15, 2010 11:36:52 AM
It shouldn't be hard to make the ASL symbol for "love" out of squares if you wanted to piece it.
18  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Geese in the Forest Mini Quilt on: February 09, 2010 07:04:24 AM
It looks just great!  I have the pattern but have never done any paper piecing so haven't started it - it's a "someday" project.  Yours looks terrific, I may have to make "someday" come sooner than I thought!
19  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My First EVER Quilt - top on: January 18, 2010 08:39:58 AM
It's so bright and cheery, and aren't you brave tackling prairie points on your first!  Kudos to you!
