1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Paper Cut + Postcard Save-the-Dates on: June 24, 2013 04:12:31 PM
These are my overly-ambitious wedding Save-the-Dates! For the record, I would definitely not recommend individually cutting out 45 separate invitations, but I think they came out pretty well.

Each of the red pieces was placed over a vintage postcard (hooray for ebay!), so there are horizontal and vertical versions.

The backs are stamped with a faux-typewriter print:

Thanks for looking!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Halp! Two pattern sizing questions on: July 16, 2009 09:16:57 PM
Hi! I'm trying to get back into sewing/Craftster, but hit a few questions in my pattern-hunting. One is stupid, one not (I hope).

1) So, high bust or full bust?  I feel silly for having forgotten which measurement to go by.  Everyone on the internet seems to have a different answer.  Undecided

2) I know that modern patterns tend to have a LOT of ease written into them. Would a pattern from the 1950's or early 1960's have more ease or less?? I was thinking less because the clothes are generally tighter, but than again they would probably be using fabric with less stretch too it.  Hmmmm.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Working with ball bearings? on: March 20, 2008 05:17:34 PM
So, I have no knowledge about jewelry making (but kind of know my way around a soldering gun if that helps) but I want to make a necklace out of ball bearings.  Not ball bearing chain, but actual ones.  Has anyone here ever tried something like this before?
