21  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: first glass etching!! Mario glasses for Christmas!!! :P on: December 20, 2009 07:40:54 PM
They look good! I just recently tried this stuff, but I made the mistake of using glasses that cured both around and top to bottom and the frisket just could not mask off what I wanted. I need to try again! I have a whole series I need to do!

23  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Screen Printing: Discussion and Questions / Re: image transfer using acetone;HELP! (with pictures) on: November 12, 2009 07:47:34 PM
I do this all the time, although I do it more on paper.

I have just recently tried acetone. What I usually use is the color blender markers (not the Prismas, but the Chartpak AD Markers) Those work fabulous! When using the acetone, make sure you are completely soaking the paper from the backside, then brayering it really really well. Has to be a laser print, not ink jet. And not an old print... like within the first day after printing. I takes some practice. Work on paper first (smoother surface and you will get a better feel for the process.
24  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Challah braiding ^_^ on: February 22, 2008 06:00:40 PM
Oh, that looks sooo good!  I could have used one like that tonight!  We tend to skip the challah...I have never made a good one, and it is impossible to find any out here.  I am drooling looking at yours (oh, that and the mention of Challah with Nutella...although. ..I always eat Nutella with a spoon!)

29  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Honest critique needed on: February 06, 2008 08:47:55 AM
I am just starting to try to sell my cards.  I have one on Etsy (I know...I need more then one, but that one let me learn how to list stuff...trials are good!)  I have built a website not to buy from but for information (and the option to buy if you contact me) and I have a business card.  Any thoughts or advice???

Website: www.budjaboo.com (yes, it redirects to a .mac account...I am working on the hosting issues now...I am just learning.

Business card (the logo can be presented as this, or centered with the little logo between the two words...that is how I stamp it on the back of my cards.)  I also printed the cards in  green, blue & pink with the brown text...leaves me a lot of room to play with colors.  I am really into brown now...anything could work.
