I hope this is the right place to post this, but I just went to Michael's to buy some Sugar 'N Cream yarn, and it rang up only 33¢, even though it was marked $1.69.  The cashier said that they were probably discontinuing the colors.  It was the smaller size (2.5 oz), and the colors I bought were Rose Pink (UPC: 057355083073) and Rosewood (UPC: 057355277328).  I'm not sure if any other colors would also be marked down.  Thought I'd pass it on just in case someone else needed some!

This was my first attempt at felting, and I'm relieved it didn't turn out the size of a doll's purse.  I followed a pattern I found here: http://wildyarn.blogspot.com/2006/01/felted-memo-bag-corrected.html and loved the idea of using quilt bias binding as a strap (which worked very well).  It was all done with Paton's Classic Wool, and before felting it measured about 13" by 12".  After felting it measured about 8" square.  To felt it, I ran it through a hot wash with a pair of old jeans, and it was done after only 15 minutes.

Hi!  I learned how to crochet when I was a kid and then had to reteach myself a couple of years ago.  These are the first non-scarf projects I've made (all in the last 2 weeks).  I'm a newbie, so the forum is only letting me post links to my photos.
