1  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Anyone up for a 200 Crochet Blocks Crochetalong? on: June 25, 2009 04:20:22 PM
Aaaah!!! Sewhelpme thank you for choosing the square for this week.

I so blanked that this was MY week, and darn, I'd been waiting to choose one for several weeks now.  Life's been crazy, no excuse, I know...and I have honestly fallen short of keeping up with my crochetalong, but am determined to finish this project.  I won't ask to pick another square until I am all caught up!

Begging forgiveness!

Nice job!
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Pill bottle on-the-go! on: April 02, 2009 02:33:06 PM
I started it like any other round and then increased until it was wide enough to fit the bottle. Then I just continued my rounds without increasing until it was the correct length.  I could go back and count stitches if needed.
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Key Lime Hat, Bluesy Neck Cozy & Bobble Purse (pic heavy) on: March 14, 2009 03:23:18 AM
I really like those, good work! I particularly like the hat. mmmm key limey

Thank you! It was a gift for an 8 month old girl.

it's all very cute, love the bag!
I love the hat and the bag!

I've been making use of the bag to carry...of all things, my crochet hooks & supplies.

The neck warmer is my favorite. I just love that big, yellow button against the blue yarn.

This neck cozy is really warm & comfortable w/o getting tangled in a full length scarf. It was my first time using two yarn stitching.

Thanks for the nice compliments...it helps to get feedback whenever trying new things   Smiley

smrfchic...those new ones are too adorable!

Here's another preemie beanie that I made w/ a lil' bow...

I liked the yarn so much that I ended up making two more beanies for a newborn & 3 month old boys. (sorry this pic is dark) the other beanie was similar but opposite main/accent colors...I guess I never took a pic before giving that one away

I'd like to try a couple of new patterns now.
P.S. thanks for the pineapple comment  Smiley

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: bubblegum pink & hot chocolate newsgirl caps on: February 28, 2009 12:29:06 AM
I love them, especially the pink! Is it your pattern or from a book? I really like the brim!

Thanks, KarmicCurse...my friend gave me a pattern to start...but honestly, since I am still learning to crochet (60 days & counting...), I could not follow the pattern by the 10th round or so...and I was completely lost when I made the visor.  My counts were all off...so I just kept doing & RE-doing what felt right.  any suggestions?  The pink is cute because its Peaches & Cream brand, Strawberry Cream...mmm...

I was just happy the caps actually fit the girls I made these for...now time to make a new one! Grin
