2  How do you cut resin with a clean finish ? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by schtickl on: January 10, 2008 09:35:50 AM
Hey guys! Im having a problem with some of my resin jewelry I made last night. - I made it around 8:00 p.m. and its now 11:25 a.m. the next day. They seem to all be cured and ready. Anyway, i was putting resin on top of some "doggie-tag" like things and they didnt come out the way i thought they would. I mean, they look great but the problem is that for most of them the resin seeped over the edges and now i have to cut it to fit the "doggie-tag" like thing.  They arent coming out "neatly". Here are some pictures.

I put these charms on wax paper and they seem to come off PRETTY easily with the one bad thing being some of the wax paper comes off with the excess resin.

I tried to cut off the excess resin off of these but they dont want to turn out as good as I'd hoped Sad Any suggestions?

This one did NOT leak over the edges of the doggie tags (THE ONLY ONE that didnt >.< GRR) and look how perdy it turned out!

Suggestions of how NOT to let this happen again and definetly how i can save these pendants/charms would be amazing! Thanks!!!
