2  hand made felt lily hair flower...Im pretty stoked! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by mamas4luvies on: May 17, 2008 09:35:06 AM
I think its pretty radtacular.

I cut out the shape of a fatter type petaled flower then pinched and stiched down the center and , i think the term is rouched it? then I sewed on the beads. then rolled a smaller strip and added beads to that for the stamen. I did it while waiting for my dad to come through surgery...so black fit since i was feeling kind of dark. But it was all good, dad was ok, and the flower made my day. I love how the black hides the beads almost untill the light hits it and then it has kind of a little sparkly magic effect to it.

feedback of all kinds welcomed yo!

5  fattie retro goodness yall! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by mamas4luvies on: February 18, 2008 12:37:27 PM

I made this for valentines day , I guess. I am plus sized and wanted something to wear for my pin up-ish photos.....so here it is.... I used red jersey (aka an old t-shirt)....for the triangles....and an old black t-shirt for the braided "strings"....I then took some roses I had which I *was* going to make hair clips out of, and sewed them onto the triangles....and voila.

I am going to make bottoms too....but just to have as a set.

Let me know what you think.
