1  Aeon Flux - Reconstructed! in Halloween Costumes by Sten on: December 31, 2008 10:45:35 AM
So I posted this in the finished costume scrapbook, but I figured I'd go into a little more detail here. So here we go!

I HAD to make the Aeon Flux (movie version) costume from the minute I saw it. Unfortunately time caught up with me and I ended up with only a few days to finish it. Fortunately, I already had the materials I needed at home: black tank top with grommets in straps, 3 pairs of shoe laces, satin ruffled panties (you'll see), black panty hose, long sleeved nylon shirt, black leggings, and of course boots.

Here's what I wanted it to look like:

And here's my version:

Front detail..

Cut the elastic waistband from the panties, sewed them to the shirt and then threaded the shoe laces through the loops in the waistband.

Back view...

Cut the black nylon shirt into the tiny shrug thing on my shoulders, then cut the legs off of my panty hose and sewed them in as sleeves. Used a shoe lace for the back faux corseting.

Gratuitous photoshopped to look like a super hero view...

Used shoe laces for the front chest straps and for my laser gun holster.

Pretty much my favorite costume ever. Although I was a teensie bit on the cold side, it was totally worth it! Thanks for looking!!

Aeon Flux (the movie version). Made from a tank top (turned inside out), shoe laces, panty hose, the elastic ruffled waistband from a pair of undies, and an ugly nylon long sleeved shirt I never wore.

Let's just start with the gratuitous photoshopped one and work our way down shall we:
