3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / wedding dress pattern and ideas please :) on: May 24, 2008 06:04:47 AM
I'm getting married this summer. More of a go to city hall and get married type of wedding but then we are planning on a lil bbq later on to celebrate. I would like to be able to wear my dress to get married and at the bbq maybe.  So my question to everyone here is what pattern and fabric can I use?
Im thinking of a summery, tiny strap or halter top style dress that goes to the knee or abit above or below.. just not too short or to the ground. Im looking for something cute and everyday but also with some elegance for a wedding. I would like to make it white with red. (white=wedding tradition and red=is my df fave color)
Im thinking something with a red sash/tie around the middle but I dont know if there is any easy patterns out there. I am also very new to sewing so I am looking for something easy and not to time consuming as we have two young under 2 and 8 mths.

Thanks for reading Smiley
