Thanks Hannah for being a fabulous angel!  My package arrived on the same day as another swap package so I was double happy.  And for my other swap, my partner was awesome, so don't let flakers keep you down!

I'm a lucky girl and received 2 SWAP PACKAGES yesterday!  I had to wait to go home at lunch to open, but well worth the wait.

[Momma - The Outside]

I've been sewing! 

The first is a bag I made for my mom.  She picked out the fabric and I got to sewing.  She's super happy with it and has been carrying it all week   Always fun to have a happy momma!

The second bag I made for a swap partner.  The swap is supposed to be over, but my partner flaked and I'm waiting for a swap angel.  Bummed about her flopping, but I was really happy with how her bag came out and I still wanted to share!

[The outside]

Kishcrafts has officially declared my partner a flake, so I am posting pics of what I sent to her.  I'm bummed about the flake-ness, but I still hope she enjoys my goodies!

She said she loved zombies so I found some great Dia de los Muertes fabric that seemed to fit the bill.  I made a black and white polka dot tote with the fun fabric as the lining!  I also made a matching coin purses...

The other purse I sent is a clutch purse made out of neckties.  I used 4 different ties to make this one in her fav colors, blue and red.  I don't have a picture of the lining but its a great satin-eque deep blue fabric.

I've been on a major, major crafting kick.  My living room looks like a bomb went off in the craft store.  My boyfriend ate dinner on the floor last night because there just was no room left for him at either table...whoops!

Thanks to the Jordy are her amazing tutes...her basic tute was the orginial inspiration for this bag.  I have my own moderately different system now but credit where credit is due.

I digress, I've been making tons of purses...hoping to start selling soon.

I try and never make the same bag twice and here are 4 new ones...

Green1 - running eighths fabric is just the best...it adds so much character with no extra work!


Green2 - the fraternal twin of Green1 (the other half of the running eighths fabric)


Red/Pink Paisley - the outside pocket looks like its crooked, but it's just how the purse was sitting, I promise!


Brown/Green Paisley

This is a purse made out of black neckties and great red satin fabric for the lining.  A black tie purse, made out of black ties...I just love it.  I received a purse like this as a present and have always wanted to make one of my own.  I improved on the orginial (or at least I think so).  

I made another "Tie Clutch" for my 1st swap partner who ended up flaking on me   Anyway, the bag is cute and I wanted to share!!
