134  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / domed head.... need help. on: January 23, 2008 09:07:33 PM
I wanna make a Bender plushie, and I want it to be as 3D as possible. I'm still pretty new at sewing....

So my question is, how does one create a domed shape for a plushie? I assume I'm gonna need to use darts, but I have no real idea how to go about even starting...

Any help would be appreciated Smiley
135  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Jewelry organizer from old record on: January 22, 2008 04:07:53 PM
This makes me want to buy/make a whole bunch of earrings so I have an excuse to turn a record into an earring organizer Smiley

Way cute.
136  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Surprised Heart on: January 19, 2008 08:24:23 PM
So, for Christmas, I got two books on plushie making, and I've been wholly obsessed with sewing ever since. I've made probably 10 or 11 now, and this is my latest: Le Surprised Corazone. (I like mixing languages.)

She's the first thing I've made without a pattern, and I think she's cute. I'm pretty proud of her Smiley

138  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Gloomy Bear head bracelet. on: January 16, 2008 08:07:55 PM
I love gloomy bear, that bracelet is the cuuuuutest.

Is there a hole going through each head? What is the bracelet strung on, metal?

AND YOU EVEN HAVE A PLAID GLOOMY BEAR! You are awesome.

Hehe, thank you Cheesy My Gloomy Bear collection is ridiculous--I've probably got 40 or 50 by now.... Not to mention all the little clay Gloomies that I've made over the years....

Yes, there are holes through each head, and the bracelet is strung on stretchy bracelet cord. It was really simple to make, took me maybe 2 hours plus the time to bake the heads. Most of my time was used mixing the colors.
139  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: earbud earrings on: January 08, 2008 03:48:55 PM
OMG, these are fantastic. I hate using those earbuds (my inner ear is shaped funny or something, so they're always really uncomfortable...) but I love these earrings! I must have three pairs of those earbuds around here somewhere, now I HAVE to find them....... Wink

I'd never have known that some of these parts were from computers... They look like they were designed to be earrings!

Awesome stuff.
