I saw a hat like this and thought why buy one when I can make it    So I sat down and made a pattern, took three tries to get the brim size right, and here are the results:

A few weeks ago, Aidan (my son) found his old bike.  He hadn't ridden one in 2 years and so it was a tad small for him.  However he was having a great time learning to ride it, and I had told him I would try to get him a new one for grading day.  Unfortunately, with my financial situation right now I can't afford the bike he really wants.

So yesterday we went to a few garage sales, and lo and behold, there was a bike for $2.00.  A steal as it was.  But it fit him perfectly, there was just one problem in his eyes.......it was purple with pink spatters. I convinced him it was something I could re-paint and that no one would know it had been purple.  I told him he could even pick the colour.  So he agreed and we went to pay for it and the guy said Aidan could have it, no charge

2 cans of spray paint and half a roll of masking tape later and here is Aidan's new bike:

So, my sisters had their first semi-formal last night, and they gave me three days notice that they wanted new outfits  So I quickly whipped up a dress for one, and a new top for the other (she couldn't decide on a top or a dress, so I decided for her, lol)
