2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Merry Christmas!,.... a few monthes too late! :) on: March 20, 2009 01:54:01 PM
This is a sweater i made for my boyfriend for Christmas, that i finished in february! haha.
its kinda hard to see the pattern but i worked forever on it and it looks really nice in the sweater.
also, i had to re-do the sleeves twice because when i made him "normal" sleeves they were way too tight on his arm, and since he lives 1 1/2 to 3 hours away(depending on whether i'm at home or school, i couldn't really measure it all the time. also, in the picture of him wearing it they look a little short. theyre actually relaly long and i rolled them up without realizing i rolled them too much!
hope you like it!

my boyfriend in his new sweater

this was his response to my explanation about the sleeves!

it was hard to see the intricacy of the pattern in the middle, but trust me, my hands hurt for a while after it! heh
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / the scrapbooker in me (img heavy) on: February 24, 2009 07:27:21 PM
so for valentines day i made a scrapbook for my boyfriend.
we have an awkward situation because we live in the same town  but go to school 1 1/2 away from each other...
we were friends for almost 4 years, and over the summer we got very close but decided to not be official because long term relationships are hard. eventually, we couldnt take it any longer and decided to make it official. this scrapbook journals the 8 month period from when we started "hanging out" to valentines day. I'm going to make new layouts for all the special things we have in the future.

this is the first page. it was actually the last page i made, so it was kinda..welll...not very good.

this page is called "more than friends" which is when my boyfriend and i had our first kiss, over a month after we started hanging out.

this page is about the summer we spent together. the top is night skys and the bottom is beach days.

the next page is about all the times he visited me at school. the picture is from my favorite visit, which he took me to a super fancy restaurant.

the next one is when we actually became official. the picture is us getting ready to go to a restaurant to celebrate.

the next two pages are dedicated to our first christmas together. he surprised me with a trip to NYC. it was an incredible experience to share with him. this is my fav scrap book page. (or two)

the next page is when we actually said i love you to each other.

this page is for new years. he met my extended family. 30+ people!

and valentines day. I'm going to add the picture to the page once i get it developed since i gave it to him on vday.

oh and heres the album

thanks for viewing.

and btw. i spent less than 15 dollars on this whole album. how thrifty! heh

5  COOKING / Dessert / pie frenzyyy [as image obese as these pies are going to make me] on: November 09, 2008 08:45:55 PM
soo this summer i went on a pie frenzy and made A LOT of pies. I'll post up some of my favorites!
(now that i'm back and school and without an oven i figured i'd post some stuff up because i miss baking so much!!!)
I don't want to type up all the recipes unless someone asks for a specific one, then i don't mind!
these pies taste great and i've perfected all the recipes!!!

this is the "the first time is special" pie. its an apple pie with a woven top, which is my favorite, and its the first pie i ever made!

the next pie is called "One more and i'll be a housewife" pie. its peach and blueberry with some almonds! yumm
this is by FAR my favorite pie. thats the pre cooked inside, and for this one i also made a woven top as well.

the next pie is called "lets pretend like we're eating healthy while still eating pie" pie. its a veggie pie.

mama pie and baby pie i made: (pre-cooked..i accidentally bought wheat flower..it kinda tasted weird, but it was alright)

pecan pie for my dads birthday:

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / i want everyone to know how wonderful my mother is. (pic heavy) on: July 01, 2008 02:55:15 PM
my mom is wonderful!
she's been knitting for over 30 years and shes been making me wonderful sweaters! I know these aren't things i created but i really wanted people to see how wonderful these sweaters are!
For her birthday I took pictures of me "modeling" the outfits, and made her a portfolio of her knit stuff!
(oh and she taught me how to knit too:))

this dress i saw in elle magazine, and my mom had to tailor it to my needs.

thats the close up, she alternated between knit and purl

This sweater idea we got from the victoria secret catalog!
