Yes, I dye the silk. I use acid dyes, it takes the colors so nice.

Your yarn is beautiful. Love the cold/warm colors. They do looks like metal. Very pretty

I spin a lot of Bamboo, so the silk is very similar. Less slipery than the Bamboo, staple lenght - very comfortable. But more chalenging than merino / Alpaca / regular wool, a lot of fun to spin.

I have finished my 100% Silk, came out very soft. It's very pale, green olive.
Also in progress, 3 colors from Bamboo that will ply togther, Blue, Red white. Hope to finish it this weekend. If not photos will be ready for next week Fiber Friday.

Lately I have obsessed dying Bamboo fiber. It take dye beautiful, deep colors and the most fun part, I love spinning it after.

This yarn contain Brown Alpaca with white Mulberry silk and a little bit of handdyed milk protein in plum color.
