12  Crazy, cute, one-of-a-kind stockings! in Winter Holidays by Boo_its_Brittany on: December 05, 2011 10:51:23 PM
I've recently decided to make some Christmas stockings. I think they came out pretty cute.

They were made using scraps of fabric and some even upcycled clothes!
Cute and eco-friendly?
Can't go wrong. Wink!

Anyways, on to the crafties! <3!

14  Glitter, Rainbow Brite, and pastels. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Boo_its_Brittany on: November 15, 2010 04:27:19 PM
A few projects for ya'll.

Some more glittery bows. Smiley! The red one is supposed to be kinda like Hello Kitty's? Meh, not quite but oh well.
Mmmmmm glitter. <3!

Bow made out of some fuzzy pastel baby yarn and a big pink button :3!

Pastel safety pin necklace made from some little baby shower favor things from dollar tree.

The Rainbow Brite thing was attached to a hair scrunchie from Target in the dollar section. I took it off that and put it on a necklace. Smiley! I used some rainbow string and glitter and star beads.

Yay Smiley!

15  Princesses, stripes, and denim. A dress, a skirt, and a pinafore. in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Boo_its_Brittany on: November 15, 2010 04:24:20 PM
Just a few projects I've done here and there.

My mom had some denim laying around, and she wasn't going to use it, so I took it and made a little pinafore. I made two little detachable bows for it.

I used some t-shirt type fabric I got on clearance at Joann's for this little dress. Its got a pixie hem and a drawstring halter neck. Its super simple, but I like it.

Next is this little ruffly lolita skirt. I used this gorrrrrrrrrrgeous pastel storybook fabric. Its got little princesses on it, its kinda patchwork style with heart prints, paisley, butterflies, etc. I think its so darling. Smiley!

That's all for now.

16  I am the clown with the tear-away face, here in a flash and gone without a trace in Halloween Costumes by Boo_its_Brittany on: October 26, 2010 04:02:04 PM

So, as you can see, this years Halloween costume was a clown Smiley!
I decided to be a clown when the idea for the wig struck, out of the blue. That was my inspiration piece for this entire outfit.

I made the wig using a red pigtail wig as the base, then I took a rainbow afro wig, cut it in half, glued it onto two styrofoam balls and pinned it into the wig using bobby pins. I absolutely love it. Smiley!
The wig didn't really fit me (I have a big head -_-!) So, I made a bandana type headband thing to cover up in the back, and put a bow on the front to make it cute Smiley!

I loosely followed a costume pattern. I made the base dress in white with red ruffles and waist ties, then hand stitched polka dots in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. I chose to handstitch because I love how it looks. It took forever, but I think its a great detail.

I went to a halloween party on Saturday, this is me  (and my friend, as Alice) all made up. Smiley! (No white face, because my cheapo makeup wouldn't cooperate.)

I also helped a friend with her costume. She was Hit Girl from Kickass. I made this belt, a simple cape and a mask. (only have pictures of the belt, I forgot the cape. Oops.)

And yes Smiley!

17  Pimped my backpack in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Boo_its_Brittany on: August 30, 2010 09:24:26 PM

I decided this year's backpack had to be the most epic backpack ever. I mean, I'm a senior, go out with a bang, right? So, this is what sprouted with that idea in mind.

I probably spent about eight hours in total decorating this backpack. Six of which were spent on hand sewing the buttons alone. I added a candy plushie brooch, a unicorn fabric bow, a perler bead lollipop with flat back pearls, and a perler bead bunny with a bow. I made a few keychains; one out of embroidery floss, beads, and bells, another out of different color safety pins, and a third was a failed attempt at a friendship bracelet. (The Hello Kitty pez dispenser and Yoshi keychains weren't made by me, obv. Haha) I'm pretty proud of it. Smiley!

andddd, not rly related but, I also made this pouch out of a tshirt sleeve Cheesy!

"Don't be a betch" pouch made out of a t-shirt sleeve. (Thanks to this tutorial Cheesy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfk6EVoacZo )

19  Bunnies, kitties, Snoopy, and fringe :D! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Boo_its_Brittany on: August 30, 2010 09:20:38 PM

Fringe halter. This project was done really quickly, so its not the best looking. But I LOVE it! I plan on making another, in a colored shirt.

My mom bought me this top at target and while I loved the color, I thought the black buttons and stitching were far too harsh. So, I took a seam ripper to the stitching, stitched over with white thread, and replaced the black buttons with little white bunnies Smiley! I think its much cuter now. <3!

Kitty top. I cut a square neckline, laced some black tshirt scraps around the neckline, leaving two long pieces that can be tied around the neck (like shown) or in other ways.

Snoopy top. Made using this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLHrhMFlxZY
