so this mushroom is the first thing I ever made. The assignment was an organic pinch pot/ coil sculpture, and this is what I came up with:



I just painted it a few days ago.



at first, I wanted it to be a toothbrush holder, so that's why there are holes on the top, but it didn't really work out.. but oh well.

and this is the second bowl I made on the wheel. The first one wasn't even worth saving for the dog to eat out of.


i really like the outside glazes, it's kind of tannish on the other side, i used brown black and vegas purple red i think and on the inside envy green.


but it ran or something and left this really weird metallic ring.
the whole inside is rough, so I'm not going to eat out of it.
I was thinking about putting a plant in it or something, but nonetheless, i'm pleased.

Fall and winter are my favorite times to knit, seriously. And now that i've been riding the bus, I have all this extra time.

i used seed stitch, and lion brand wool in this really nice purple color (don't know the name)
i'm really pleased with how it came out.

I think it's really cute, but it's a little big on my head. It fits better if I tuck my hair in, but I might give this one away and make myself another one, maybe a little slouchier. But I love the cable pattern.

oh, also I made a knitting needle holder! yay i've always wanted to make one, and I finally got around to it.
