Dont you hate that?/  I had to make a clothing line for my senior project and although the fabric had the right look, feel and durability... it didnt have enough stretch...

Would have worn them... but fitted tight...

Great work... the binding looks super good...

17  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Discussion and Questions / Refurbishing Diaper Changer Pad on: January 14, 2008 09:00:43 AM
Does anyone know how to make a diaper padding cover?  My padding is dry rotting and I can now see the foam but I have no idea where to start.  I want to save it and make some type of impermeable cover to go over it as well as a normal pad cover...  DOes anyone have suggestions?

Update: Ok so my covering was not dry-rotting, its the actual fabric (vinyl with polyester backing) that tears easily.  Joanne's had a sale this week of an additional 50% off red tag items and I bought a yard in two colors (in case of tearing) for $1.50 each!  And terry cloth fabric in three colors for $2.50 a yard..

I figured out the pattern for making a new one to cover the foam and to my surprise there was cardboard at the bottom... these things are seriously overpriced the materials used to make them are really cheap!   Shocked

So far I have made one with a zipper to take off if needed to replace... and now to try and make the temp covers to try and prolong the inevitable tearing of  vinyl.  Undecided
18  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / How about a board of tutorials? on: December 30, 2007 05:55:06 PM
I have been a browsing guest for a while looking at all the great things that ppl have been making, all very inspiring...

Yet when I come back to look for the thread that had a tuturial in it, I  just can't seem to find it.  Anyways, as a new member I thought I'd have access to things like that but evidently its not the case.

So I was thinking maybe there can be a board with the compilation of tuturials/ tuturial links in it under different categories like clothes, hand bags, crafts, etc...

What do you think??
