1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Fabric Wrapped Beaded Necklace! on: July 11, 2010 09:25:12 AM
I've been gone from Craftster for sometime! I thought it was about time to post something!

I came across a picture of a similar necklace, and decided to try it myself. It was VERY hard, finding the proper wooden beads, but I did eventually find some! I think next time, I'll use a size smaller bead too, for variation. But hey, I think it turned out really well!

2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Starbucks Sculpture made w/ panty hose and wire! on: January 16, 2010 08:00:32 PM
I made this for my design I & II class. It was our final project, and I really was stuck with what to make. Not the most creative thing I could've come up with, but hey it works. (:

My favorite part, that I thought of last minute, was adding the sparkly marshmallows teehehe (:

One for my grandma (far left), me(middle), and my friend (far right).

And yes that it is a crayon chapstick XD

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Marilyn Monroe Pillow! (: on: January 16, 2010 02:22:41 PM
So I'm doing a mega upload to craftster, since I haven't in like..oh lets say forever?
Just a simple pillow, I used an iron-on transfer, but I kinda left the iron on it for too long, and it burnt. But it's still lovely all the same.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / My first real piece of clothing!! [[yay or nay??]] on: May 30, 2009 01:27:46 AM
Hi guys!

So like the title says, this is the first piece of clothing I've sewn all by myself! I used a pattern from like 1980 or something?? It's a pretty worn pattern, but if anyone actually wants the pattern brand or # I'm sure I can track it down. I did modify it quite a bit, just to suit my taste, but for the most part it's like the pattern.

Anyways I'm not completely satisfied with it. I really liked it before I hemmed it... it was just above my knees before hemming. Ok so as soon as I hemmed it, it like POOFED out soooooo much! I can't decide if it is a good thing or bad thing?? Any advice? I think it was because a) I did a really quick 5 min. job doing the hem b) it's quite hard hemming a circle c) I hemmed it A LOT.

I had to buy the belt today just so the yoke part, didn't stretch so much because it is a little bit big around that area. I think it looks much better with the belt? Mum says I look like I'm from the 80's  Tongue which I guess is reasonable since the pattern is from the 80's haha. The worst part about this project was pleating underneath the yoke if that makes sense? Let's just say pleating denim, is not fun at all. I'm an expertise at unpicking! Anyways overall I'm pretty happy with it!  Cheesy

8  COOKING / Dessert / Rainbow cake on: April 24, 2008 03:49:25 AM
I made this cake for a friend in March. Everyone loved it, but I really hated frosting it. The top layer of the cake just kept peeling when I frosted it....anyways I hope you like it! I got the idea from:

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Sandboard on: April 24, 2008 03:38:33 AM

10  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Having a little trouble with pictures, can anyone help? on: January 12, 2008 12:27:32 AM
I have started two topics, one is wooden toys and the other is thank you cards. When I posted my thank you cards I don't think anyone saw them until I fixed it. The problem is I don't know how I fixed it. I think I'm having the same problem with the wooden topic. I can see the pictures though, but no one else can. I don't know if anyone knows how to help. I also use tabloo to upload my pictures.
