1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Fabric Wrapped Beaded Necklace! on: July 11, 2010 01:55:24 PM
I agree I like your variation. It gives the necklace more to look at when you have variation like this.

What type of adhesive do you use between the wood and fabric? How do you keep the adhesive from seeping through the fabric?

Great work! Smiley

Well thanks so much! Smiley

I just used a fabric glue called liquid stitch, I would've probably used modge podge if I had some on hand. I'm sure mostly any sort of glue would work, but fabric glue will probably work best. And I guess it was just the glue I used, to stop it from seeping. Just a thin lather will really hold it! That's all you need! Smiley Hope that helped some

I've been gone from Craftster for sometime! I thought it was about time to post something!

I came across a picture of a similar necklace, and decided to try it myself. It was VERY hard, finding the proper wooden beads, but I did eventually find some! I think next time, I'll use a size smaller bead too, for variation. But hey, I think it turned out really well!

I made this for my design I & II class. It was our final project, and I really was stuck with what to make. Not the most creative thing I could've come up with, but hey it works. (:

My favorite part, that I thought of last minute, was adding the sparkly marshmallows teehehe (:

So I spend hours and hours looking for simple tuts that I can follow, since I'm still new to sewing. I finally found a great one, that I'm not sure if even knows about it? But I hope you like it! It's really a great tutorial.

One for my grandma (far left), me(middle), and my friend (far right).

And yes that it is a crayon chapstick XD

So I'm doing a mega upload to craftster, since I haven't in like..oh lets say forever?
Just a simple pillow, I used an iron-on transfer, but I kinda left the iron on it for too long, and it burnt. But it's still lovely all the same.
