I made this cake for my daughter's second birthday... It was my first time making chocolate ganache, and third time making marshmallow fondant! Unfortunately, I didn't get any really nice photos, the sun had already started to set!
The only part I don't like is how camouflaged the name is, on that leopard print fabric... I planned on adding the glow in the dark thread around the letters....... but it's been a year, and it's still not done! : s
Back in early 2008, I took the bartending course at Algonquin College. In Oenology, as a final project we had to team up, find a different alcohol, and have an oral presentation infront of the class. I, being the funny one, came up with the idea of making a hilarious stop motion commerical for our booze. (French Kiss Liqueur) I painstainkainly cut out a whole bunch of construction paper, and took hundreds of photos of them placed.
It took me 3 long nights to complete (I leave everything to the last minute) I made the female characters resemble me and my two group partners (fairly accurately ; ) and the bartender was one of my classmates!
It's very, very amature, but it was the first (and only) time I made a stop motion using paper (It's difficult!)
Am I ever glad to finally post this! This is my lovely Joe Shuster embroidery (Canadian, yo!) It took me forever to even decide which drawing of his to stitch up, and of course in the end, I chose the smoking gals! I started it in January, and could have completed it so much quicker if I had worked on it daily, which is how I like it. However, during that time I moved, and it threw everything out of sync! Recognize the composition? This was going to be my entry in the needlework challenge, back in February. After starting it, I put it aside to work on my Delft piece. It remained incomplete for the longest of time, but I recently took to it again, and finally finished it! I compiled it together in Adobe, using various photographs.
