That is one super adorable shark. I think it looks much better in green, too

Her eye / garters' attachments are the best!
Super well done

I loved the Care Bears. Good job!  I especially enjoy the raining hearts.

I adore that mushroom! It's very nicely done. Same goes with your cursive stitching, I like it.

Woahhh, that's soo sweet. I'm fairly certain I'm now going to attempt to make my own psychedelic version.

This is really spectacular. I would love to be displaying such a stunning piece of art, in my home.

Thank you all, for the swell feedback I've received.

To answer the questions;

*I'm not sure what I'll be doing with her, she was actually just a practice piece; I wasn't foreseeing her turning out so well; and I made her on a overly small piece of fabric; which severely limits what I can do with her.

*I'm not too sure how long she exactly took, but I started her in mid December, and just finished her last week.

I recommend everyone watch 'The Notorious Bettie Page,' it's what actually inspired me to do her.

I'm presently working on Jessica Rabbit, so she'll be ready to post soon : )

Thanks, all, again!
138  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Bettie Page (too many photographs) on: January 31, 2008 06:06:59 PM
She is done on a piece of demin I had laying around my room.
She measures 9 inches, diagonally.

I've included her drawn on, prior to the stitching, and close ups.
Her skin is actually done in skin tone, yet it appears almost white in the pictures. : /

Here's a link, if you care to see it a little less pixel-ly

This is absolutely fantastic. Especially the face, it's so beautifully done.

Thank you : )

This was my second completed project, first being a copy of this persons* rendition of the cherry blossums.

However, that one's just all outlining, with no filler.
