Wonderful!
I never would have guessed the water colours were to cover up a flaw, it's perfect the way it is!
I'd be proud to hang it on my wall !

Slightly Mature Content

Back in early 2008, I took the bartending course at Algonquin College.
In Oenology, as a final project we had to team up, find a different alcohol, and have an oral presentation infront of the class.
I, being the funny one, came up with the idea of making a hilarious stop motion commerical for our booze. (French Kiss Liqueur)
I painstainkainly cut out a whole bunch of construction paper, and took hundreds of photos of them placed.

It took me 3 long nights to complete (I leave everything to the last minute)
I made the female characters resemble me and my two group partners (fairly accurately ; )
and the bartender was one of my classmates!

It's very, very amature, but it was the first (and only) time I made a stop motion using paper (It's difficult!)

Apparently it's to be used for couching, stays in place while you stitch it down!
However, I've never really 'couched' before, so I'm not sure how much easier it makes it

I think it looks fantastic, without having to redo anything!
The embroidery is your artwork, and can have the absolute smallest of differences from the original photo!
I think it's perfect the way it is!!!

And you guys are really cute! : )
20  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Joe Shuster's Smoking Ladies! on: May 25, 2011 04:36:06 PM
Am I ever glad to finally post this! This is my lovely Joe Shuster embroidery (Canadian, yo!)
It took me forever to even decide which drawing of his to stitch up, and of course in the end,
I chose the smoking gals!
I started it in January, and could have completed it so much quicker if I had worked on it daily,
which is how I like it. However, during that time I moved, and it threw everything out of sync!
The couch is six inches long
