I worked in a retail store where we had a small dvd player that played Finding Nemo for over a year!  I think this is awesome!

She's awesome!  The hair looks amazing and that dress looks like it was a lot of work.

So I've put together my first poppet.  I am making a Drow (a D&D dark elf) but haven't figured out the clothing yet.  I used really bad fabric since it was unraveling on the edges but it mostly worked out.  I only had one toe as a casualty.  I wasn't really sure what I was doing with the hair either but I think it worked out okay.

I finally got all my pattern pieces printed and transfered onto the freezer paper.  I just might get to start this weekend if the power to my house if working. (My fiancee and his father are redoing the wiring in the 1904 house we recently bought.)  I have a few ideas but I really want to start with my dark elf.  I think I'm a bit of a D&D geek... among other things.

So I was just looking at Joann's website and thought I'd search for the Alova Suede.  The website say that they are not only sold out but that it has been discontinued.  Cry  I have found some other fabrics to work with but it seems like if see any in the store you should grab it while you can. My local store didn't seem to have any left.  Anyone know anything else about this?

That really is just amazing.  I don't usually do the pun costumes since too many people don't seem to get them.  Then again no one got my Cthulhu costume either.  I think I may be too attached to my stuffed animals to do this but I do love it.
