1  Dresses and clothes for Black apple dolls? in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by canamharris on: January 04, 2013 11:05:01 AM
I love making Black Apple dolls as gifts. They are so adorable! The only problem I'm having is making cute doll clothes for them! I see lots of people making the dolls but nobody is posting any cute clothes! I have a basic dress pattern drafted but I hate it! Its so boxy looking! Has anyone had any success at making some easy clothes for black apple dolls? (I can make skirts for them easily! just not dresses or jackets or anything else!!)

Don't know what a black apple doll is? Its these awesome things!!

I received the other day from Banana731. Its the most beautiful and wonderful neckwarmer EVER!
I took a quick pic when I got it and have been wearing it ever since. Though yesterday I set it in my craft room, then decided to move my craft room upstairs....so I can't find it to take an up close pic of it! (It has the coolest texture to it!!)

So Banana if you have a better pic, please post it, cause its too awesome not to show off! (I'll post a pic of it otherwise when I find it! I put it in a box with the sweater I was wearing at the time. Just have to figure out which box that was!)

5  Tea Cozy swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by canamharris on: October 16, 2012 09:07:06 AM

Source: http://retro-mama.blogspot.ca/2010/02/tea-riffic.html

I've been playing with this idea for a while and was hoping others might like it too. Would anyone be up for a fun tea cozy swap? I figure we could all swap tea or french press cozies. (maybe even some mug cozies!) They could be sewn or knit/crocheted.

I personally feel like my tea pot needs some crazy cozy action since its now officially fall!

Anyone up to join?

I received the most awesome hoop last week from Tarmine626. I haven't been able to hang it up yet sadly due to just having moved and still living out of boxes! (ughs!)
But this hoop rocks and its been one I've really really wanted too. Plus today is our anniversary so it was like getting a sweet little anniversary present from her!

And the most lovely back EVER!!

yey, I'm so glad everything got there! I'm glad the girls liked everything!

The Princess and the pea book is the one by Lauren Child (author of Charlie and Lola). Its our favorite princess book to read here!

http://www.amazon.com/Princess-Pea-The-Lauren-Child/dp/B0014JUGIM/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1338601609&sr=8-3

And the mermaid book was this one:

My son loves that series, and seeing the mermaid on your pinterest, I just knew I had to send that book!

And to answer the earlier question, my daughter is turning 5 this month! and my son is 2.

I received yesterday from mom2em.

For my 2 year old son we received:
Clifford the big red dog, a clifford lacing card, a dog print pillow case, and some playdough with a doggie cookie cutter. you can also see the cute clifford bookmark sticking out from the book!

For my 4 year old daughter we received:
Olivia and the babies, a baby diaper for her dolls, a little fabric chalkboard, some cute heart pony tail holders, and a cute red bag.

And here are the kids with their new books!

Thanks mom2em. the kids love their stuff and their new books! We love both series in our house! So now to read these ones!
