11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Panda Macbook Cozy on: December 14, 2009 02:54:21 PM
I made this for my friend for Christmas because every time I see her take out her Macbook she only has an old t-shirt as a cozy. Since she likes pandas I made this for her...though it's more like an inverted panda (I didn't want to make the base white because it's easy to get dirty) Embarrassed It looks more like a cat...BUT it's the thought that counts right?

Velcro so it will close

Opened

The back

This was made out of a plain black t-shirt.

I don't have a Macbook so I can't model it but I hope the dimensions are correct.
I'm going to give it to her tomorrow when we have our Calculus final  Cry

Thanks for looking!

12  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Nightmare & Michael Jackson on: November 17, 2009 01:41:09 PM
I made these over the summer but I haven't posted them...
First is ナイトメア/Naitomea/Nightmare, another one of my Japanese loves.

This, clearly, isn't one of my best works. I shouldn't have painted on a cotton knit-ish fabric.

This is the picture I used:

I wanted to make a stencil of their alter-ego band...but I didn't want to disturb others by wearing a shirt like that in public.  Grin

Next up, I did a Michael Jackson stencil hoodie for my best friend (she's on my avatar...the one with the tissue on her nose. I would be lost without her).

Yes, I made her model it while we were playing the Wii  Wink

13  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy Hoodie! on: October 24, 2009 04:56:35 PM
My 16-year-old brother requested this a while back...but college has been eating my life away. But it's done!

Back (My favorite part):

Front:

"Fiend is like Friend without the 'R'" It's the name of one of the episodes.
The stencil for this was annoying (this is what happens when I let my brother choose the font). I had to do the swirls and such with a toothpick.  Cool

I had problems with the flames here...but I think it turned out ok.

On my brother: They aren't great pictures since my brother was reluctant to pose in front of my "Ruki door"...but I forced him.  Cheesy

He wouldn't let me take a picture of his pretty face!

Thank you for looking  Grin

14  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Totoro Stencil shirt on: June 25, 2009 09:06:42 PM
My mom asked me to make her something with Totoro...yes, my mother. We recently went to California for vacation and at Little Tokyo, she saw a bunch of Totoro merch and decided that instead of buying something, she'll make me make it for her.

Closeups:

The flash kinda ruined it... Tongue

I thought it'd be cute if I added the susuwatari (the soot spirits) in the back

15  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Distress & Coma [The GazettE] Hoodie & Tutorial Links ~No Freezer Paper Used~ on: May 26, 2009 09:33:34 AM
I'm finally done with this college semester, thank goodness! Even though summer is coming, I found my old high school hoodie (because it's not cool to wear it on the college campus), took out the embroidery, resized it and put a stencil on it.

Front:

Back:

This time I used this picture of Ruki (vocalist of the GazettE) from the Distress & Coma theme:

Here are stenciling tutorials I made for my DeviantArt account:

16  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Cinema Bizarre Stencil Shirt on: April 19, 2009 10:03:59 AM
I am going to the first NY Cinema Bizarre (German band) show on April 24th. And I REFUSE to go to Hot Topic and get a shirt because 1. Hot Topic has gone downhill over the past few years, so I refuse to support that corporation and 2. I don't want to wear the same thing every other girl is wearing.

I did this on the back of an old t-shirt...that's why you could see the design in the front  Tongue

Yu (Guitar) on top, Shin (Drums) on the left and Kiro (Bass) on the right.

Rom3o (Keyboard) on the left and Strify (Vocals) on the right.

Okay so Rom3o and Strify came out...eh. I couldn't find good pictures to make stencils of them so that's the best I could do (That's why they're in the back ;])

Thanks for looking!

17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Rockstar guitar-shaped bag [IMG HEAVY] on: April 13, 2009 12:14:09 PM
After seeing Mewyam's tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=210511.0, I was inspired to make my own. But when I actually got around to making it, the pictures in the tutorial weren't working at that moment...so I winged it. I also made some modifications.

I spent a total of two days on this  Grin

It was laying down, so the chain looks awkward =]

I stitched on frets on an old guitar strap.

"Secret" pocket behind the scratchboard =]

Inside lining.

Chains connected to a pick and music notes.

You know how people have stickers of their favorite bands on their guitars? Well I stenciled my favorite bands' logos on.

Miyavi, the GazettE, SuG, ScReW (Yay for PS Company bands!), A7X and Murderdolls
I have yet to stencil the more complicated logos on.

Work In Process pictures:

I put in sides so it wouldn't lose shape after a while...and believe me, it was HELL.

The bag is made out of black and white canvas.

18  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Gir Stencil Tanktop [Can I Be A Mongoose Dog?] on: March 27, 2009 12:28:48 PM
After watching the Invader Zim DVD the other day, I decided to make something dedicated to my favorite character, Gir. So I took pictures off the internet and made a stencil of Gir and my favorite quotes from him.

Closeups

"Can I Be A Mongoose Dog?"

"I Need Tacos or I Will Explode! That Happens To Me Sometimes" (This isn't the exact quote but you get the point ;])

I sealed it with Mod Podge, which explains why there are blotches around the letters; I stayed up late finishing this last night.

Tell me what you think!  Cheesy
19  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Ribcage Vest with lace on: March 07, 2009 06:22:17 AM
Here it is! I spent my Friday off making this baby.
I couldn't find a good stencil of a ribcage online and I was too lazy to make my own so this one will have to do.

20  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / The GazettE Stencil Bag on: February 22, 2009 01:35:41 PM
I'm on a Gazette frenzy Wink

I spend all day yesterday making the bag and painting on the stencil:

Closeups:

Ruki (on top), Kai & Reita (I don't really like how his hair came out.)

Aoi & Uruha

Ruki's neck turned out wierd because I had to improvise his stencil since in the original picture his hand was in the way. But I think his dreads came out pretty well.
