1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Creepy Barbie Keychain on: October 13, 2012 08:31:59 PM
So, it has been a LONG time since I posted here on Craftster. I really miss it here!
But since it's Halloween season, I wanted to share something that I did a couple months ago.

This is what it used to look like:

I have more pictures and info at my blog!

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Seashells & Rhinestone deco eyelash case on: February 03, 2012 04:22:56 PM
For more informatioon, please visit my blog!: http://kurowonderland.blogspot.com/2012/02/false-eyelashes-mini-haul.html

I have no idea where to post this but this seems to be the right place (I hope)

Earlier this month I went to Japan Town in San Francisco and I went to a mini shopping spree in Daiso. For those who don't know what Daiso is, it's 100 yen store in Japan. While I was in Tokyo a year ago, I was marveled by the four-story store! In SF, the prices for most of the products are $1.50. So I bought an eyelash case so I can store all my face lashes inside.

It was a bit plain so I decided to give it a makeover!

3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Union Jack Deco Nail on: January 27, 2012 05:20:10 AM
It's been a LONG while since I made a new post on Craftster. College has been sucking the life out of me; I'm so glad it's my last year.
I've been getting into nail art a lot lately, especially those long gyaru nail designs.
I've always loved the design of the Union Jack so I decided to put it on my nails!

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / the Gazette tote on: December 15, 2010 11:37:54 AM
I made a present for my friend's birthday which was yesterday but I won't be able to see her until next week when we go to Tokyo together. I can't wait to give this to her!

We're both big Gazette fans and one of the biggest reasons we're going to Tokyo is for their concert at the Tokyo Dome. I thought it'll be nice to make her a custom bag Grin

So I stenciled two of her favorite members on the bag. Ruki on one side, Aoi on the other.

I also made her a little keychain charm of Ruki with shrink plastic.

I had a lot of fun making this bag; I hope she'll love it as much as I do.

5  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Guro Lolita on: November 12, 2010 06:23:51 PM
This Halloween I decided to be a guro lolita (or a grotesque lolita). I've always been intrigued by the lolita fashion and finally I found a lolita style that fits my other interests. This is my very first attempt at anything lolita.

I bought this dress from Bodyline and splattered red paint on it; I think it came out pretty good. This is the original dress http://www.bodyline.co.jp/bodyline/photos/l092-2.jpg
I actually took off one tier of the dress because it was way too long for my short self   Undecided
I also made the rose eyepatch out of canvas fabric and the pendant.

Better detail of the dress:

(I need a puffier petticoat Cheesy)

Closeup of the pendant:

Originally, I bought clay to make a brain cupcake since I work at a cupcake shop and had to work the morning of Halloween. BUT the clay that I got was SUPER hard to mold so I just made somewhat of a replica of a SUPPURATE SYSTEM pendant. Stuck nails in and spray painted it black.

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / [NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK] Miyavi Shirt with HOT PINK Tulle on: July 12, 2010 07:37:38 AM
I made this a couple weeks ago for the Miyavi event at Kinokuniya in NYC for his Neo Tokyo Samurai Black World Tour 2010.
He was amazing and so funny & he was flawless the next day at his first show in NYC. I had so much fun!  Grin

I sewed ruffled white twill tape and hot pink tulle on the bottom because it looked plain if I didn't  Grin

Sorry for the crappy pictures, I took these right before I had to leave my house to go to the event Embarrassed

(I was making a stupid face ;])

"One more stupid pose before I go!"
Hey! Look, there's Miyavi over there! ;]

Details:

I'll tell you right now that I hate the way his face turned out.
And I was lazy and left out the Dué le Quartz tattoo on his wrist.
The guitar was a nightmare...had to freehand the strings and frets

PS: If anybody was wondering, the wig I'm wearing is from Lady Like Couture (http://www.ladylike.tk). It's so pretty and look/feels so real!
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / An IOU in a Takeout Box on: May 14, 2010 09:35:17 PM
It's my friend's birthday on Monday and I knew exactly what to buy her. So today I walked all the way from my college to Times Square Toys R Us to get her the Architecture Guggenheim LEGO set...BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE IT! If I bought it online, it would definitely not arrive by Monday!

So I thought I'd make her an IOU present for Monday.

The 'fortune' says "Happy Birthday! <3 Sam"

Hope you can actually see the gif animation

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Roses & Skull Top Hat on: April 04, 2010 03:01:45 PM
I made this for a photoshoot I did. Most of the hat was put together with a hot glue gun and the only sewing was the red ruffles.

I've always loved sugar skulls =]

I was out of clay because I made this top hat in short notice so I used PlayDoh for the skull and the roses, painted it and put Mod Podge over it and prayed that it wouldn't crack.

A couple action shots from the photoshoot (Thanks to Darya for taking the pictures):

(I look kinda dazed out because it was so hot that day!  Wink)

Thanks for looking!  Grin

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Kitty & Bunny Felt Scarves on: December 28, 2009 03:10:26 PM
I don't quite remember where I originally saw these cute scarves...I think I was Christmas shopping in the Village and I didn't buy them because...it was like $40!  Shocked

Being the poor college student I am, I decided to make some myself to give to my friends for Christmas.

Sorry for my lack of...poses.

Tell me what you think!
Hope everybody is enjoying the holidays & is staying warm!
10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Panda Macbook Cozy on: December 14, 2009 02:54:21 PM
I made this for my friend for Christmas because every time I see her take out her Macbook she only has an old t-shirt as a cozy. Since she likes pandas I made this for her...though it's more like an inverted panda (I didn't want to make the base white because it's easy to get dirty) Embarrassed It looks more like a cat...BUT it's the thought that counts right?

Velcro so it will close

Opened

The back

This was made out of a plain black t-shirt.

I don't have a Macbook so I can't model it but I hope the dimensions are correct.
I'm going to give it to her tomorrow when we have our Calculus final  Cry
