1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Snood Mania **UPDATE: Pattern link** on: January 08, 2008 12:39:46 PM
So, I have long hair and need ways to keep it out of the way. I like to do something different with it than just throw it into a ponytail, and I decided some snoods would be really cool. Here are my first 3. I made them with different yarns/threads and hook sizes to figure out what works best for my hair. They are pretty simple, but I really like them.

I am so glad you all like. I guess I was wrong, I used treble stitch in the mesh...

Pattern was found here: http://www.knitting-crochet.com/found/snood.html

It is a really simple pattern. It needed to be, since it was my first time following one!  Wink
2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Strange Shaped Novice on: December 28, 2007 02:38:03 PM
I have a strange shape, at least as far as clothes shopping goes. I have a big belly, but no hips or butt. Really, my hip measurement is about 2 inches smaller than my waist!

Needless to say, I have trouble finding pants that will stay up, much less fit nice.

I only have a little bit of sewing experience, but I was hoping (since some of you are WICKEDLY TALENTED) that you might have ideas on how I could alter RTW clothing or sew my own. I am getting really tired of sweats!!!!

Thanks in advance for any and all pearls of wisdom...
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Hair Ornaments...First Post!! on: December 27, 2007 02:30:29 PM
I am a new newbie, but I am so impressed with all your talent!

I thought I would make my first humble contribution to this fabulous forum by showing off the hair ornaments I make for myself.  Wink

I do hair-sticks, beaded bobby pins, and strings of beads attached to lobster clasps (they hook on ponytail holders and look really cool).

I hope I did this right.

Thanks for looking!
