11  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Tommy Pinball Machine Jewelry Box on: March 29, 2009 01:42:03 PM
I made this for my swap partner in the Musicals Swap.  It is made from a glass paneled wooden box.

12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Audrey II on: March 29, 2009 01:15:38 PM
Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors.  I made this for my swap partner in the musicals swap.  He has binder clips between his leaves so he can hold pictures, business cards and notes.  I am going to make one for myself for my desk at work to hold all my post it's.

13  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / It's Katie AHHHHHHHHH on: January 24, 2009 03:53:04 PM
I have been in love with Katie since I had seen "Horton Hears a Who".  I have her hung from my ceiling by fishing wire, so it looks like she is floating in my living room.

14  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / The best scrap book ever made by my Husband on: December 28, 2008 02:34:08 PM
For Christmas, my husband made me a wedding scrapbook/story of our wedding.  As you will read in his disclaimer, it is not exactly what happened at out wedding, but his interpretation makes it a good read.  I laughed and I cried.  There are quite a few references to arch nemesis', guitar hero, me and him being secret agents and "How I met your Mother".  So, check it out and enjoy.  He made me the best Christmas present ever.

15  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / White Pumpkin Wedding Centerpiece on: November 09, 2008 04:47:57 PM
My Mom and I made these centerpieces for my wedding last year.  We were married in October, so pumpkins seemed appropriate.  All the materials were from Joann's and Michael's.  The flowers were a mix or artificial and dried.  They stood about 2 feet tall.  We had made 10 centerpieces and then realized we need 12, so we went shopping for the white pumpkins at every craft store in our area and they were all sold out!  So we bought 2 orange pumpkins and pearl acrylic paint and it matched perfectly.  Of course this year the craft stores seemed to have an overstock of white pumpkins

At the end of the night of my wedding, I was so sick of seeing these (My Mom and I spent hours making them), that I gave them all away.  Now I wish I had kept one.

16  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Cousin Itt on: November 09, 2008 04:22:32 PM
I made this little guy as part of an angel package for the Addams Family Swap.  I used acrylic paints to give him a dirty blond look.  I hand rolled each strand of "hair".

17  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Feathered Mirror on: November 09, 2008 04:20:05 PM
I fancied up my mirror.  It was a plain white wooden mirror.  I used hot glue to glue down the feathers and added ribbon, dried flowers and an old necklace I had to decorate it.  It is a pretty large mirror, so it took a while, but I love how it turned out!

This is where I got the feathers.  It was a feather tree I found at Goodwill for $2 which is awesome because feathers cost so much at the craft store.

18  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mr. Potato Dead on: October 12, 2008 01:48:26 PM
I made this for my partner in a personal swap.  I found him at a thrift store, picked him up and tried to decide what to do with him.  Then, I danced around when it came to me, Mr. Potato Dead!  I used acrylic paints on him and his accessories.  I had to drill an additional hole in his face so all of the accessories would fit, he was a smaller version of the Mr. Potato head and the eyes and nose belonged to a bigger version. He was so much fun to work on, I will have to find another and make one for myself.  Below are his many looks.  Let me know what you think!

19  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Morticia Addams Shadowbox on: October 07, 2008 06:06:57 PM
I made this for the Addams Family Swap.  I love the old school ribbon ladies, so this is where I based the idea off of.  I drew her face (even though you can't see it well from the glare), used barbie hair and barbie hands (Barbie was mutilated by the time I was done.  Cheesy).  I feel it is a typical day for Morticia, just walking around her weed garden by the moonlight.

20  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Zombie House on: October 07, 2008 06:05:13 PM
I made this for the Halloween 2008 Swap.  I found the house at a thrift store, it was painted all flowery, so that had to go.  I used scraps of wood to board up the windows (That was pretty fun!)  I made the zombies out of polymer clay.  My favorite is the zombie crawling through the window.
