1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / John McClane Die Hard Valentine on: February 13, 2013 07:59:26 AM
I made this mini John McClane for my husband for Valentine's Day. He loves the Die Hard movies and we will be spending the day at a Die Hard Marathon.  He comes with a fire hose wrapped around him (Stamped with "Happy Valentine's Day") and bare dirty feet.

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / The Brave Little Toaster on: February 20, 2012 11:59:19 AM
I made this for my Brother's Birthday that is coming up this weekend.  The Brave Little Toaster was his favorite movie as a kid.

He is all hand sewn and is about the size of a real toaster.

The slots are pockets, I plan on putting a gift card in one and his Birthday card in the other.

I also made him Blankey...

Just so I can use him as gift wrapping  Cheesy
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Vintage Circus Altered Puzzle Pieces on: January 31, 2012 06:32:09 PM
I wanted to dedicate a wall in my living room to a vintage circus theme.  It took me a few weeks, but I am finally finished.  These are my first altered puzzle pieces, they are made on 6"X8" pieces.

Here is the wall.

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Please... Don't Feed the Plant! on: January 17, 2012 02:21:55 PM
I had to make my own Audrey II after seeing this tutorial: http://www.instructables.com/id/Audrey-II-from-Little-Shop-of-Horrors/

I followed the basic paper mache instructions, but used pipe cleaners to give depth to the veins and then did my own version based off of trading cards I have from the movie (I am a big fan!)

I bought the vintage coffee can off of Ebay.  It says "Good to the last drop" on the side

And here he is on his own stand in my living room.
5  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects / Container Ponds on: August 05, 2011 10:18:37 AM
My husband and I bought our first home last year.  I was super excited to start my own gardens.  Here is what I accomplished this year.

I have always wanted a pond and luckily I didn't have to spend much money on these.  I only bought the plants and the fountain kits.  The previous owners left behind several plastic tubs.  I dug holes for them (They are about 3 feet deep), and filled them with water.  The rocks were scattered in the yard.  They worked out good around the ponds.

The ponds and the rest of the flower bed.  This was originally all grass.

In this little garden I have mint, broccoli, carrots, radishes, pointsettia, hibiscus, straw flowers and roses

I love the hibiscus, there is a new bloom every day.

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / How I feel while browsing Craftster on: June 29, 2011 07:39:59 PM
I tend to browse the internet alot on my downtime at work.  I have been a huge lurker on Reddit and I am in love with the "all the things" meme that has been popping up lately.  So, I made my own to put in my craft room.

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Black Sheep of the Family on: April 23, 2011 12:44:40 PM
I made this for my Mom for Easter.  Whenever we go shopping and she sees a cute sheep item, she always says "too bad it's not a black sheep" (it is a running joke that she is the black sheep in the family).  Can't wait to give it to her tomorrow, I hope she like it!

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Labyrinth Jewelry Box on: March 10, 2010 03:50:31 PM
I made this for my partner in the Labyrinth swap.  It is the left door knocker jewelry box.  I made it from a cigar box, polymer clay and paper.  I stapled molding and window screen to the inside of the box for earrings and put in hooks on top to hold necklaces.

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Soph-squid-sticated on: March 10, 2010 03:29:52 PM
Meet "Soph-squid-sticated", she is a fancy squid who likes to dress herself up with treasures she finds in the sea.  I made this a while back for a sock doll swap.  It is the first time I have ever made a sock doll.

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Dean's Impala from Supernatural Storage Box on: September 03, 2009 04:05:43 PM
I made this for my swap partner in the Supernatural Swap.  She said she liked to have boxes and bowls to store things in and this came to mind instantly.  It took me a few weeks to complete, it is made from plastic canvas.  My Aunt used to make me Barbie furniture from this stuff and I really appreciate her hard work now since it must of taken her ages.  This is my biggest plastic canvas project to date, let me know what you think.

The trunk and the hood both open.
