Very impressive ruffle-ocity! Did it take most of the rest of the tee to do that?

Well done. I'm sure you'll be sewing up a storm after this success. Hope you get a big girl sewing machine soon Cheesy
I just picked up a pretty good old Singer at a second hand shop for $30. You never know!
As for the buttons...depending on how many you have, I think they'd look cute just spaced evenly across the top ribbon.
Congratulations and keep it up!
163  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Few new items and Mod dress thoughts needed..... on: February 23, 2008 08:29:14 AM
If by Mod you're thinking along these lines:

Then I say:
bias tape around neck? Definitely; keep pockets black with bias tape across top of each; I agree with radiationbaby, swap out lace for solid fabric, perhaps some wider single fold bias tape? and maybe add a strip horizontally under the bust, too. Make sure to hem it a few inches above the knee.

How fun just to sit here spouting off opinions  Wink
Thanks for asking...we'll be watching!

Oh man! You'll be getting serious double-takes on the street with this. Faucets? Faucets? How f'in original is that. You have got the Lucky Thrift Store Fairy on your side, Dude...no doubt! Well done.
166  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: OLd stinky sock,... on: February 19, 2008 07:23:39 AM
I love the look of these. The whip stitching with the Frankenstein picture is so perfect. I've seen all sorts of things turned into mittens but, and I can hardly believe it, never socks. What a brilliant no-brainer, duh! Well done.
167  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Be gentle--first post (pic heavy) on: February 18, 2008 07:36:06 PM
Oh wow! I just noticed this one...it slipped down the row a bit. Too cute. And those beads around the bottom of the skirt... (note to self) "adorable attention-getting at its best."

OK,so the truth is out...you have a real artist's eye.
Keep 'em coming. It's great to see your creations. (And it looks like you live in a beautiful forest, too)

Yea! Grin
It's so cute and I love how you got two sweaters out of one. Sewing on all of those buttons must have taken forever. You should be very proud.
Well Done.
170  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Biker Babe Shirt on: February 18, 2008 05:51:12 PM
WOW! Your bike looks like a screamer. I can only imagine how fun it will be to ride up to Ten Thousand Waves Grin
Hope your BF learns soon. Riding together is an indescribable bonding experience.
Take care and have a great time!
