so, this is my first craftster challenge and actually my first time posting anything of mine... please feel free to comment either positive or negative.


this chair was donated to me from someone on freecycle for my sewing room. ironically, I had planned this project about a week before the challenge was posted so I guess that was just someone's way of telling me to stop being so shy with my work.


without further ado... here is the before.



it was a mess. absolutely foul smelling, the vinyl had this weird stickiness to it and it had definitely seen much better days.


(because no one could possibly notice that 'clear' tape holding it together!)

so, like any other good party gets started, someone had to get naked...


and after several pin stabs, broken nails, curse words, and serious bonding time with piping (we're friends now), here she is!

I also painted all the rusty metal after sanding it down a bit and gave her a brand new set of carpet friendly casters (since the originally were pretty much useless) You can't really tell from the pictures but the fabric is super soft, almost silky, and has sparkles all over it. I absolutely love it! and it's going to look great in my new craft room once I get it all together
