2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Fashion help! on: July 19, 2005 10:12:33 PM
I recently made a long string of pearls, which I can wear several ways, but I have no idea what the "in" style is to wear them. I don't know what to wear with them either. I want to be casual, but slightly dressy.

the best way to dress down costume jewels is to pair them with something classic....ie a basic crew neck tee, wifebeaters (classic not classy), jeans, or even a simple skirt.

I also bought a bunch of new socks, knee high and thigh high, and I have a few skirts to go with them, but am planning to make a few more. What is the best style of skirt? I have a few plaid school girl ones, but I would like something more sophisticated. Any comments are appreciated!

again basic is key...a line skirts are always "in" as well as denim mid to minis pair them with a simple shoe...mary janes for dressier or chucks to dress down.

the main thing is to be comfortable...in your clothes and in your skin - that way you'll look great in whatever you wear!

put shaving cream in the palm of a sleeping persons hand and tickle their nose

if your in bunks - short sheet them .... (tuck the sheet up like 6 inches before the end of the bed folded over)

confetti/flour over the door (in buckets)

10  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Re: oh so ugly shoes. ideas to make them awesome? on: July 07, 2005 07:06:09 PM
the white ones would be super cute if you cut the straps of about 1 in from the base and knit/crochet a center piece and use the stubs to connect the piece (fold over the straps to make loops..... then you could have espadrille like shoozies!
