I'm about halfway done but only because I've been working a lot lately. I know I'll get done on time, though!

I've never done a swap before and since I looooove Halloween, I was thinking that this could be my first one! I think I really only have one question though... how big do you consider medium and small?

Probably the best way to do this (if your closet is big enough) is to spend one (or two) days boxing up all the stuff you don't need *right this minute* and putting it in the closet.  You're going to need to make some choices about which things you want to have out, and which things can be stored and pulled out.  Can't tell from here, but you might be able to fit your sewing machine table between your dresser and the door or under the window.

Will your brother let you store anything at all in his room?  Depending on how long he's staying, and how much stuff he's moving back, he may have some extra space in his room. Of course, if he has a whole apartment of furniture that he's trying to move in (like my sister did when she moved back in), it's not going to be pretty.

Good luck!

Well right now, every nook and cranny of bedroom is just full of stuff, including my closet. I was thinking I could just do like they do on TLC's Clean Sweep. Where they just take everything out of the rooms and sort into "keep", "toss" and "sell" piles. That way I can just get rid of stuff I don't need right then and there. And then while everything is out of my room, I'll prolly paint it. Yeah I intended to put my sewing machine table right underneath my window so I could open the window on a nice day and have a breeze coming through. I just have to think where I'm going to store all of my fabric. I have a MASSIVE amount of fabric in storage right now that needs to be sorted through.

My brother isn't a materialistic person so he won't be moving a lot of stuff back but I don't want to have to ask him if I can store stuff in his room because I don't want to have that much stuff, ya know?

My brother moved out a couple of years ago so I kind of took over his old bedroom and used it as my crafting room. Well he's going to be moving back in REALLY soon so I need to convert my messy messy bedroom into my sewing room/bedroom quick! Here lemme show you...

I have to move all this crafty stuff...

This one is kinda dark, sorry  Undecided

into this messy place...

Can I do it? I have no freaking idea, but I'm going to try! Someone mentioned that it was like Hobby Lobby threw up in their room... well Jo-Anns threw up in mine, lol  Grin

That is awesome!  It reminds me of a Kyo (from the anime Fruits Basket) hat that my friend has (but it cost her like $30) .

I'm just curious, did you use a pattern for the design of the hat?  I just made a penguin hat, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=256825.0, but the top seam turned out all bunchy, so I was wondering if you had issues with that as well?  Your hat looks really nice!

I actually did base the body of the hat off of a pattern that I had lying around but I tweaked it A LOT. But the ears eyes and mouth we are free handed onto paper until I had the right shape and then I used those as the pattern. The only problem I had with my hat was that it doesn't quite lay on my head like I want it to... I dunno, maybe I have a weird shaped head or something ^_^

I just recently finished watching Trigun (for those of you who don't know, it's an anime) and I loved it! And wouldn't ya know that my fav character, besides Vash of course, would be Kuroneko sama? Lol, well anyway I decided I REALLY wanted a kuroneko sama hat, so I made one! Enjoy!

She's made completely outta fleece except for her mouth. The pupils of her eyes were satin stitched onto the yellow fleece and then those were satin stitch onto the body of the hat. The mouth is made out of pink felt but I had so much trouble trying to sew it on by machine, that I just opted to sew it on by hand in the end. The eyes and the mouth are still crooked but it doesn't bother me enough to fix it, lol.

Oh yeah and please forgive that fact that I look REALLY tired and retarded in these pics!
