That felted owl is amazing!
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Pheonix Skateboard Deck Painting on: July 21, 2012 10:10:50 AM
Beautiful!  Would work as wall art, or random coffee table centerpiece.  I love the detail on the phoenix.

I received from Kookaloo_Starr and figured out how to take good pics with my lil' camera.  So here they are:  One for my love of Whedonverse, the other inspired by Victorian clothing.

Two by two, hands of blue.  One of the creepiest nursery rhymes ever.

And a lovely corset.  I wish the colors had come out a bit truer, but what can you do?
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Inner Space on: July 07, 2012 11:10:21 AM
I love the textural details with the two mediums!  It's a beautiful piece.

I'm claiming dragonflyducky for a Doctor Who themed hoop.

Hey there!  I'm Sandy from Kalamazoo, MI, and I love HOOPLA!! I'm a theatre geek from way back, and am doing my best to raise my children in the theatre.  I love a variety of things - so I'm not opposed to crafter's choice.

I'm not too particular on themes - I love seeing what other people come up with, so crafter's choice is always an option.

My Themes:
Whedonverse-inspired
Superheroes
quirky art
disney-esque (think aladdin, or hercules, or nightmare before christmas)
harry potter
vampires (non-twilight as real vamps don't sparkle)
victorian clothing
jewel tones, especially reds, blues, and purples.
Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony (or My LIttle Pony in general)
Doctor Who (quotes, adipose, tardis, etc)
Lego pop culture (I'm obsessed with the video games, neveryoumind that i'm 32)

Or, for my lovely children-
Thomas the train and friends
Princess type stuff
Adventure Time or Sonic the Hedgehog

I do have a pinterest: http://pinterest.com/sandracanderson/

I'm claiming sparks for a Dr Who themed patch, and an ocean/beach themed patch.

Hi there!  I'm Sandy from Kalamazoo, MI.  I'm a theatre buff who has enjoyed sewing and crafting for the majority of my life, and am always looking for more crafting inspiration.  I'm not particular about size, and our home does not have any allergies.

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Teesha Moore Patch Swap Round 1 Gallery on: July 06, 2012 11:40:51 AM
I'm ready to ship!  Huzzah!  Question: can I use a regular envelope (letter size?)  They seem to fit fine.

Hey, all.  As a newbie at the whole Teesha Moore-style thingy, I'm hoping to get some feedback.  Is there anyone (ortwo/orthree) willing to take a gander at my first patch to see if I'm on the right track?  I'd just prefer knowing that I wasn't sending out something inferior.  Thanks!
9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Stitch and Scrump Hoops on: June 29, 2012 05:04:46 PM
I have to say: I love pretty much everything you come up with.  Definitely an amazing take on an old craft.  But, again, Stitch is my fave!  I love Scrump, too.  Such a simple way to show a lonely child.  What you've done here is adorable!

"I LIKE cute and fluffy!!!" (my fave line in the film)

I'm going to jump in and claim babalina58 for a sewing styled patch, and a wizard of oz.  This is my first time making anything inspired by Teesha Moore, but I'm so excited!
