1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Ultra 80's swallow/heart earrings on: October 12, 2004 04:54:14 PM
I just made these earrings... check out pictures #9 and #10!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Sublime Stitching *Good Luck* Pillowcase on: October 10, 2004 10:23:17 PM
This is where I rest my weary head nightly...  I made this with a boring normal white pillowcase, which was surprisingly tough to embroider!  I used a pliers to yank the needle through on each stitch!
It's photo #1 in my album.  Sorry the photo is kind of poopy:

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / wire & crystal bead earrings and necklace on: September 25, 2004 11:22:58 PM
I made 3 sets of these for the bridesmaids in a friend's wedding.  I wish the pictures were better... but it's hard to get the lighting right with my camera.  Also, the necklace looks a little assymetrical in the middle, but it's just the angle of the picture.  All right, I'll quit apologizing and just post the links!

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tattoo Art T-shirt UPDATED on: September 25, 2004 11:07:44 PM
I just got photobucket to work, so I'm excited to finally show some of my stuff I've made!!!  This is my favorite t-shirt - I used Sublime Stitching patterns.  The writing says "Per ardua ad astra" (Through difficulties to the stars)

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Dark fabric!!?? on: September 02, 2004 08:39:38 PM
does anyone have any good tips for transferring patterns onto black or dark colored fabrics?    i sewed one of Jenny's patterns from Sublime Stitching onto a small dark blue denim tote and it took FOREVER!
i attempted to iron the pattern on, but it obviously was impossible to see.      i started by just "eyeballing" the design, but ended up tracing the pattern with white chalk and pressing it onto the fabric.   it worked great for about five minutes, then the chalk would rub off from me working on it.   i finished it eventually, but it took so frigging long that i haven't gotten around to trying this again, even though i have so many dark things that i would like to embroider!   HELP    Huh
Hey, I originally meant to post the picture of my embroidery on dark fabric, but couldn't figure out how to link to it until now!  Hope this works:
