Okay, not many posts make me laugh out loud and then say, "awwww" but this one sure did.  Great work and what a sweet story.  Thanks so much for sharing!!!

Awww, thanks guys!  It is a significantly smaller space than I am used to but I am hoping that will curtail my "office sprawl"!!!

In answer to the heating question - I had my friend who welded the shelves on to cut out as much of the back as possible and still maintain it's structural integrity.  So far so good - I would seriously cry if my Mac got hurt!

It took about a year to complete only because I couldn't find a non-working, non-restored coke machine locally and had to buy it on ebay (shipping was more than the machine!) wait for it to ship and then my friend is super busy and since he was doing this for (almost) free I had to be patient and let him work on it when he didn't have anything else to do.  Since he is a mechanic with about 10 "project cars" of his own, not to mention paying customers I was definitely at the bottom of his "to do" list!!!

Thanks so much everyone!  It was a really fun project to do but I waffled so much on doing it because I was worried about looking like "crazy themed woman"!  Cheesy

Oh, I finally posted pics of my coke machine here:

Oh and yes, the tv is a Predicta (I wish it was original!)

To compliment my new dining room mural I bought an old unworking coke machine, gutted it and then sent it to a friend to weld some shelves onto it. Tada! Here is my new new computer cabinet!  The Pepsi and Coke picnic coolers I am using to house my files/office stuff.

I have a fascination with all things retro and I LOVE old diners.  So, after years of talking about it, I finally made my dining room into an old diner!

First an apology!  The layouts of the rooms make it hard to photograph so sorry - there are lots of photos!!!

I have a dining room with a sun room/atrium attached.  The view is from the left of the sun room and clockwise through the dining room.  I wanted the sun room to be the parking lot and the dining room to be, well, the diner!

An old coke machine will soon replace the ugly computer cabinet.  I bought an old coke machine (1950s) that didnt work and am having the back cut out and shelves installed to house my computer - I wanted to do it myself but unfortunately welding is beyond my ability  Embarrassed.

I was so excited and happy with the results I couldnt wait to show you my dining room so the coke machine/computer cabinet will have to be another post!!!
This has been years in the making so comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated!!!!!
Thanks for looking!!!!

Hi all! So, inspired by another post on Craftster, which I now cannot find for the life of me so I'm unable to give proper credit  Embarrassed I dyed and silk screened some onsies for a friend.  I kept finding all of these great images so I kind of went overboard!

On to the pics!

The butt!

The images aren't really blurred - that is due to my less than stellar camera skills! Thanks sooooo much for looking!!
