so im not too sure if this goes here or in cooking but my dog has a grain allergy and i found a recipe for a grain free treat, but it called for liver and he also has a sensitive tummy. so if any of you are in the same situation im in heres my adaptation to: http://www.dogtreatkitchen.com/grain-free-dog-treats.html

1lb of ground turkey
2tsp of garlic powder
1 egg
1 1/4 cup of potato flakes
and about 1 cup of water

preheat oven to 400 F
cook for 25-30 mins

i used water instead of broth as broth is usually very salty. id recommend making the cookies kinda thin as some of mine came out moist in the middle. and they shrink when cooked so pack them on the cookie sheet touching if u want.

my dog LOVES these and my MIL's dog (who has no allergies) goes mental over these as soon as he smells them he starts bouncing around

Yay for soap! Kitch3ntools~do you put tree tea oil and betonite clay in it? I haven't made any face soap in a while but that's what I like in mine!

not yet, im still REALLY new to the soap making but once i can get myself to whole foods im getting tea tree oil for a facial bar. i actually ran out of face wash 1 day and used my bar soap on my face i use on my body and was thrilled with how amazing my face felt.

Do a little experiment--wash your hands with a detergent bar, and also with a good handmade soap. Your skin will feel so much better with the handmade soap!

im going to have to agree w/ MareMare on that one, i have REALLY oily acne prone skin and i had been using a medicated scrub from walmart and found my love of making soap...now i use my handmade soap and my face is far less oily and i have less breakouts im hooked for life
