21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: recycle recycling! (a little ridiculous) on: August 18, 2008 03:41:30 PM
ooooo...I was thinking it would look great with some recycle jewlery too. Like pop can tops all strung together or something to that effect. Your dress looks really cute. And like everyone else...I see no muffin top.
22  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: watermelon suitcase on: August 18, 2008 03:35:17 PM
oooo...I've always wanted to do something like this, with some spunky fabric, and a twinge of crazyness. I really like how yours turned out. The watermelon idea is sooooo cute. This makes me want to go out and buy a suitcase to paint and re-do right now.
23  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Bleach stain on fave shirt, now recon'd into pink sugary goodness!! (pic heavy) on: July 30, 2008 05:26:35 PM
I LOVE YOUR SHIRT!!! You've definitely inspired me to re-con some of mine.

Wow. This thread has some amazing comments in it. I just had to hit the "this rocks" button. I think it's amazing what you did, Selkie. I think it's ironic too that Hitler, the evil one, gets 5 pages written about him and the 6 million innocent people get nothing. Also, I was wondering if you've ever read the book "The Wave" by Todd Strasser. It's kind of a short book, and I found it in the teen section of my bookstore. It's a true story about a history teacher who tried to make his student's understand how the Nazis could have so many followers, and how history could repeat itself. It was sort of an eyeopener to me of the danger of the holocaust ever happening again.
25  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Photos are art, right? on: July 21, 2008 10:16:09 PM
those are beautiful pictures...I couldn't help noticing the camo on the shirt though. I never knew they made camo like that in the military.
26  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Dinosaur scoodie! Mittens! Kermit the frog! on: July 21, 2008 10:11:59 PM
oooo... I love the scoodie! Oh and I know how ya feel 'bout the mittens. I always start making scarves and whatnot in the summer, thinking "If I don't start now, I'll never get it done for the cold months." Then I end up finishing the project and can't wait for winter to come. I feel happy and impatient whenever I do that to myself. Wink
27  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: First ever dress!(Actually first real piece of clothing!) on: July 21, 2008 10:06:01 PM
that looks great! Oh my gosh I never would have known that you dyed that brown fabric yourself. If I had only been looking at the pictures, I would have thought that it was manufactured that way. You did a great job. I love your dress.
