6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / Re: question about people's opinion of button jewelry on: August 22, 2006 06:26:29 AM
you know i wasn't really looking at it from the "people buy crappy stuff all the time" perspective. just a week ago i bought a cute necklace for 20 bucks at urban outfitters and it's already turning black!!

i feel alot better about taking some to the show now. i just didn't want people to come look in my booth and think, "who is she kidding?"

well, most of the ones i see people make on here are $5 for a pair of standard stud earrings, and the buttons i'd be using for some of them are going to be more expensive than your basic round disc with two holes. but i will have those as well.

10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / question about people's opinion of button jewelry on: August 22, 2006 05:38:50 AM
i want to make a ton of earrings to sell at an upcoming craft fair, but...well, to be honest they are super super easy to make...and i'm wondering if people actually buy them?

am i supposed to feel bad about charging someone money for something that took about 1 minute to make? please, serious feedback wanted here.
