3  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: January / February Birthday Swap! on: February 05, 2008 04:22:40 AM
I'm Windshadow, 19 this year, my birthday was on 25th Jan; currently waiting to enter college. My style is simple but i like funky accessories that can be used to dash up my outfits. I like mainly neutral colours and accessories that are black are best for easy matching. I've picked up book-binding myself a few years back and love experimenting with things to make them into something different. I'm quite an outdoorsy person but i also enjoy reading a good book with a good cup of coffee.

Although i'm a person who likes things that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, i've started to take an interest in ATC making. I would love to pick up new crafts and am dating an artsy guy who drums and skates.

Big thank you to anyone who picks my list !  Wink

5  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Re: Need help with Chinese seal stamp (carved stone) !! on: January 22, 2008 01:02:34 AM
Okay, if after trying it on flat surfaces and it still doesnt come out proper, i suppose that it might be due to the stamp not being flat.

Before carving, the stone is to be sandpapered to remove the wax at the bottom. At times, the sandpapering isnt done properly and the seal doesnt 'print' well. Would be good if i could see a photo of the print and your seal.

I did some seal engraving before and well, do know a bit on how it can go wrong. I'll try and take some photos of my seals to show you to compare.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Salvaged watch necklace, a letter for Cthulhu fans on: January 21, 2008 08:04:07 PM
It's really beautiful. The juxtaposition makes it altogether lovely.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Headscarf ! on: January 14, 2008 08:02:24 AM
I just snipped off my hair, it used to be about 15cm pass the shoulders, now it's something like an asymmetric bob. I have barely enough hair to hold the headscarf up but i decided to make it since that was the purpose i bought the fabric (which i wanna say again, i really really adore) for and well, it helps keep the fringe from stabbing my eyeballs.
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My first Fabric/Yarn/Ribbon scraps jewerly/cuffs on: January 14, 2008 07:02:17 AM
I love the rugged feel to it ! Think i might try this myself soon. Nice job !
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Headscarf ! on: January 14, 2008 05:53:59 AM
Found some colourful skulls fabric the other day and decided they'll make a pretty nice headscarf. My first project using a sewing machine, hence some seams didnt turn out too well. Took some effort sewing the sides in too. But i'm quite happy with it for a first attempt.  Grin

I made another with a white fabric with colourful monkeys which my sister took. She's wearing it right now and i'm unable to pry it away from her head.
10  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Show Off Your Hair! on: January 09, 2008 10:14:19 AM
A question to all those with the bright shocking colours, what brand is it that you guys use ? Panic Manic ? I'm dying to get myself blue highlights but from what i know the only places in my country that does loud colours are salons, even then, their effects likely arent as awesome as most i've seen here.
