1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Felted Yarn on: June 10, 2009 12:50:02 PM
Check out this awesome felted yarn I just made!  I made by crocheting three strands of feltables together and then throwing it in the wash.  Whatcha think?  What do you think you could make with something so dang bulky?

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Deconstructive knitting-Image HEAVY on: April 15, 2009 02:57:44 PM
I know this isn't exactly knitting, but I would like to think it is.  I have been taking apart sweaters to make yarn lately!  It's like..THE most stress relieving thing I've done in maybe years.  I love it!   Here are some action and fancy shots:

I love that little mini skein!
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / A very knitty wedding on: January 13, 2009 11:42:32 AM
I got married on November 1st.  To add to the stress of just plain planning a wedding, I decided to knit the bouquet, boutonnieres (four of them one for the husband to be, father, father to be, and ring bearer), the ring bearer pillow, a flower headband for the flower girl, and corsages (for the mothers).
Right now I just have pictures of the bouquet:

Me carrying the bouquet:

And my husband with a boutonniere:

Whatcha think?

Images of corsages, headband, and ring bearer pillow to come.

P.S.  Not only am I insane enough to knit all these things, but I also hand stamped and printed all of the invitations, RSVPs, and thank you cards myself.  AND I cut the grass and put together all of the centerpieces too.  I am so glad it's over!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Noni Pattern Peony on: August 17, 2008 08:32:28 AM
I am getting married on November 1st (the day draws near!), and I am knitting my bouquet.  I've just now finished my first flower, though I started it in...June I think.  I used the Noni Peony pattern.  At first I thought that this was a really strange pattern, but then I realized though it is strange, it's BRILLIANT!  I love how the flower turned out.  It looks to me like a tuft of cotton, only a lot bigger.

Whatcha think?  Have any of you knit your bouquets?  Do you have any great ideas?  Thanks for the looksy.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Rhapsodie in Green on: May 11, 2008 01:12:45 PM
I finished my first sweater ever!  I got the pattern from the February 2005 Knit 'n Style.  I have been knitting for like 5 years now and have knit everything from a card to a pair of pants, but I never got around to knitting a sweater.  Now I have!  It turned out a lot better than I thought, but the friend who I made it for needs it to be a lot longer.  So I going to add a rib on the bottom.  Whatcha think?

If you can think of any other ways I can add on length at the bottom, please tell!
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Fuzzy Cable Fingerless Gloves on: April 25, 2008 06:40:40 AM
I just finished a pair of short fingerless gloves.  I knit them out of Memoirs by Berocco.  I love knitting these up, they are really fast and fun.  Since this is my own pattern, I have been thinking about typing it up and putting it either on my blog or on Ravelry. What do you think?  Would anyone be interested in this pattern?
