1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / What's your list of Emulsifiers? on: June 15, 2008 01:04:42 AM
I looked everywhere hoping someone would give a super good slip of "Hey this is the emulsifiers I use [rattle off aimlessly the list]" now that I found how forking useful they really would be. Especially because I am not the only one here who have tried and failed miserably to put honey in their lip balm without it sitting at the bottom and goopin up the whole thing!

That means I ask you all to dump your heads into this thread and tell the world of all the emulsifiers a person can use for lip balm (and lotion too).

The ones that I seem to notice are lanolin and coconut oil. Tis true? Tis false? Correction where there is wrong and all that stuff. Thankies much!
2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Make "Karas" Yurine goggles on: January 16, 2008 12:14:27 AM
Hey hey. I'm not sure where the heck this could go thus why it is here. I want to make goggles that are near or exact replicas of what is seen in the anime "Karas".

If you're out of the anime loop almost as much as me, here is what they look like.

Pretty ain't it?

My game plan since I have completely no idea what I am doing:

1. Buy/steal/obtain the snowboard goggle of my choice

2. Fiddle with the image enough to get just the lens graphics (or blackmail someone into it since I suck at it. Never did that either)

3. I'm pretty sure that somewhere out there in this big gigantic world there is a transfer paper or some method that involves glossy surfaces, printing heat or whatever to transfer the image I desire onto uni-lens

4. Pop lens in

5. Wear the goggles.

Any help that you guys can share? And a pointer into the right community would be helpful too. Thanks!
3  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Alcohol Preservatives and substitutes for it? on: December 22, 2007 10:49:28 PM
Hi, I'm new here as you can tell. I have a massive question, is there any substitutes for alcohol (ex: Vodka) that works just as good for tinctures and the such. I'm underage to buy alcohol and well, I have this personal thing about it that makes me pretty adverse to it. Plus I would like to make tinctures for others and the last thing I need is some random person yelling at me about how I secretly made them break the rules of their religion/getting sober/etc.

So anything that works just as good as liquor? I heard cider was one but that was about it.
