1  COOKING / Dessert / jello, rice krispies, and marshmallows?! on: February 11, 2008 03:24:20 PM
I've been making a lot of food lately. Well, not really food as yummy sweets I can munch on.

Rice krispies! My mom has a crazy addiction for them, but she's not good with recipe in English, so I got to make them as a demo so she could learn. I just used the recipe on the box.

Okay, I got the recipe from here (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=215750.0) and didn't add the coloring or mint flavoring. I just used vanilla. I love them so much and I don't think I can ever eat regular marshmallows anymore. D: Oh well, the alternative is obviously better. lol

This just makes me happy. The brown layer is chocolate, the green is actually flavorless (well, it was supposed to be sugary, but I forgot the sugar), and the white layer has coconut milk. It's soo yummy. My mom and I used this Asian gelatin, not Jello brand, so it hardens within 5 minutes of pouring. Yay instant gratification!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / knucks and quant on: February 11, 2008 03:15:49 PM
Hey! so I'm pretty new on here, so it's kinda my first knitting post (yay!) Here's the stuff I've done lately (not too much, but I'm planning more projects for this year.

That's the Quant I knitted at the very beginning of the year. My ears were suffering in my Chemistry class and since we're not allowed to wear hats in school, I made this. It's not a hat, right? XD I used Caron Simply Soft in grey heather. It's so shiny-looking!

Knucks! I know I'm way late on the bandwagon for this. I used Paton's classic wool on this. I actually gave these away as a birthday present, but I'm definitely making another pair soon for myself.

Comments? I'm not that experienced as a knitter, so I'd love any comments!
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / 50 projects in a year craftalong. Anyone interested? on: January 02, 2008 02:31:28 PM
Anyway, there's a community on livejournal (50projectyear) that challenges people to finish 50 projects in one year. It can be anything from baking to crochet to knitting to writing to whatever! I think I might've made it (I have to count the amount of christmas presents and extras I made before the year was over), but I really enjoyed it. Does anyone want to try doing it for 2008 with me?
