I made these cute and comfy pants for my 11 month old during one of his naps and decided to make a pdf and share it along with a tutorial (1 size only but easy to modify for I'd say 6mo to 24 mo sizes). You'll need about 1/2 yard and scraps of contrasting fabric. The buttons are ornamental but you can easily make them "functional":

This is such a great pattern, I found it on Stockinette's website:

I made some mods to get a larger size (for a 2 year old) and added the leather buttons to emphasize the librarian/grandpa feel... I highly recommend this pattern, it would be absolutely precious in a newborn size =)

I haven't posted in a while, but I've been knitting lots of baby things (and more to come -- see my blog if you like that sort of thing).

Just one word of advice if you do knit it: I thought the sleeves as written in the pattern were too narrow, so I just added a bunch of rows to make sure they were wide enough for my liking. I also added a buttonhole, because I thought new moms wouldn't want to use brooches on newborn babies!

I just made this wacky little outfit for my nephew (well my husband's nephew) who already has a very funky style (at 3 and a half). I thought that he might be interested in the fabric - at least for a few seconds =)



I really hope it fits him! I sort of winged the pattern

Here's a fun little guy! I found the pattern in the last issue of Knitty... I did get sick of knitting the legs, so I'm afraid this crab is four-legged...

This tunic is soooo comfy and soft, I just love it. The pattern is Camellia, by Kate Gilbert, and the yarn I used (which is kind of wrong gauge-wise, but I made mods to offset this) is Patons Silk Bamboo in Sea colorway.
I'm now officially a fan of bamboo!

Here's a quick skirt I made the other day when I was feeling very sad. I almost forced myself to make something cheerful, and I have to say, it really did help...
The pattern is based on a tutorial I found on Angry Chicken's website, it's called the 5-minute skirt. Using fold-over elastic for the waist really makes it super duper easy.



I added  2 pleated pockets (a bit hard to see on the above pic) and ricrac detailing:

I made this last night, I had a craving for pink!
The pattern is New Look 6705 # B with lots of mods and I added a flower for even more girliness

Here's my first attempt at embroidery! My stitches are a bit wonky but this was so much FUN! I think she is quite cute.
