i use bobby pins to straighten my hair.. i don't know what its called in english but in hebrew its call
abo a gila
in Italy we call it "ruota" (wheel) or "svedese" (swedish) or "messicana" (mexican) and it works very well!

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! on: February 27, 2009 11:04:15 AM
got my appointment for may the 6th!!! Yay!!!! I'm going to have a little owl on a branch made of swirls (don't know how to explain) with a full moon on the back ground. The owl it's for my love for animals and owls in particular and to celebrate the fact that I'm studying to be a vet. The full moon is ispired by the cover of the REM best off album. I've been thinking about this tattoo for 3 years and finally made a dream about the final design a couple of weeks ago. It will be based on my design. Ah and I'm going to have it on my upper back, don't if on the center or on the left side.

I love those retro hairstiles and makeup! I like to add a retro twist to my look (love red lips, eyeliner etc...)
But, for the life of me, it seems like I can't do reverse roils! I've watched every single tut on the net but I just can't get it...Do you think there's a particular hair cut needed for this hairstyle?
BTW I have very long hair, a little bit layered and shorter on the front (but no bangs of anysort), they're very curly but can basically take every shape you give them and keep it for like a week (like when I flat iron them)  here's a link with a picture that shows you how my hair looks like (off course they're straightened right here)
(I know I look 12 years old but I'm actually 20...grrrr)
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Completed Felted Purse, but need opinions. Bad! on: October 12, 2008 06:51:52 AM
I like it! My advice is to give it a nice lining maybe with a nice little pocket for a more professional look. For the embellishment I much more prefer the cute flower, i think it looks better for autumn winter.
