12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Necklace Gallery on: February 27, 2005 11:34:24 PM
Hey... Just thought I'd post some pics of necklaces (plus three pair of earings) I made in the last year or so.  I like seeing pictures of people's creations no matter how old 'cause they spark ideas... I hope these do the same for you.  You can learn about the materials for each in my photo gallery on Craftster.

Enjoy and happy creating!

I designed my first pair of wrist warmers.  They're super cozy and really fun to wear.  I'm still working on my second pair, I'll post pics as soon as they are done.

My friends say they're "Hobo Chic", they say it's the new look, even the Olson Twins are sporting it...  Shocked Cheesy Grin

16  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Easy Coptic Bound Journal on: December 13, 2004 02:01:17 PM
So the website is: http://personal.mem.bellsouth.net/d/r/drv1913/0204.html

I have been wanting to make a coptic bound journal so badly since seeing all of them on craftster but all the tutorials for the coptic stitch looked so complicated and difficult.  The tutorial at this website is the easiest I've found by far.  You shouldn't need any new materials, all the ones used for this journal are things you can find around your house.  As for the "cardboard", the backing of pads of paper are perfect.  Anyway here is the one I made.  I'm telling you it was so easy, it took a while for the first one, but it was easy nonetheless.  Everyone I love is getting a journal for the holidays.

Hey I wanted to show everyone I finished my first knitting project from a pattern.  It's the Pixie Hat from Knit Wit.  I just love it.  I added the pom-poms myself.  It's so much fun to wear, I'm making my mom a white one for christmas.  Smiley

18  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Kundalini Pillow on: November 30, 2004 09:31:40 PM
Hey I just thought I'd share with everyone.  I made this for a school project, for my Afro-Hatian dance class actually.  It's a yoga/meditation pillow with a Kundalini/snake/spiral image painted onto it in white acrylic.

Hope you like!

The Journey Into a Blue Chenile Waffle Crochet Nightmare

So here's the story.  I was at the craft store picking up yarn with my mom and my girlfriend the other day.  My girlfriend is not the crafty type but bless her heart she tagged along anyway.  While my mom and I were lost in yarn heaven, my girlfriend comes upon a skein she likes.  It is Lion Brand Chenile yarn, I love the stuff, but my girlfriend, my dear little Pupoli, picks up a skein in this hideous neon blue.  She wants a scarf out of it, I want to vommit on it.  But I love her, so I aquiese and purchase the yarn.  I quickly start crocheting the scarf, and at first I think the project is doomed to failure, I don't like the pattern I'd chosen and the yarn still looks like Grover roadkill to me.  But I keep truckin' and finally tonight, I finished it.  And guess what, I looooooooove it.  I can't believe how good it has turned out and now I secretly wish I could keep it.  Well I still have another skein left over, so I could make a matching one.  I dunno.  We'll see.

Anyway, here are the pictures of Pupoli's Scarf, unfortunately they don't do the project justice.

20  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / No Money on: November 23, 2004 08:53:48 PM
I have absolutely no money to spend on my family for christmas but I really want to have gifts for everyone.  Luckily there aren't many people I have to "shop" or rather craft for.  It's just my mom, my 12 year old brother, my girlfriend, her mom and dad, and one close friend.

My mom is real easy.  I can always figure something out for her.

My girlfriend is a soccer player and a drummer.

Her parents are both scientists, braniac types, bless them.

My brother is a baseball player, mountain biker, video gaming sixth grader.

And my friend is a So Cal theatre chick.  She loves red and black.

Ideas?  HELP!

PEACE

Jessy
