41  Re: Please TRY not to ROFL - I tried! What more can I say? :) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Altered Angel on: May 13, 2006 10:29:51 AM
Here's some close ups of some of the pics, as promised (and a new one!) I hope they are clear enough to see? Sorry they're a bit out of focus, it was the best I could get close up.

The frog again (as I cut off most of his legs before!)

And some of the small bead thingys (I'm sure they can't be called that? LOL) and a small cross the same design as the big one, but I tried making it with smaller beads.

Kaleesi: Thank you for the website link, you weren't kidding, Beadangels stuff is AWESOME  Shocked  Do you have any idea how I could contact her?  And do you think she'd mind? I mean answering my silly questions.

42  Re: Computer Earrings Tutorial (Img Heavy!) New earrings page 8 (10-28-05) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Altered Angel on: May 13, 2006 10:20:15 AM
To start off with,(for anybody who doesn't already know - except it will probably be obvious in a minute!) I'm REALLY new in this forum, I only started making jewlery YESTERDAY, so these earrings probably aren't anywhere as hard as I'm about to make them sound LOL.

So - Thank you for the great tutorial, it was easy to understand and I don't have any of my own ideas already/yet?

I was going to post a pic when I'd done loads to show off how good I'd been, but I forgot this is ME we're talking about and nothing is that simple LOL

Here's my offering of the computer printed earrings:

I have some questions:

Oh first sorry for the gold wire and silver ear wires!!!!  You'd think I'd have bought my first findings all in the same colour but I didn't think of that LOL.

So anyway:  I don't think I had the right wires to hang my beads on?  They were the ones with the nail head looking thing on the end (sorry I don't know the name of anything yet!) so I just cut that bit off and bent them up.  I'm having alot of difficulty with the whole cutting and bending wire thing!  I keep ending up with really sharp edgy bits  Huh  Also I don't know if they're not straight or what, but they don't hang down in a line they kind of go off to one side of the ear wire. (I hope I'm making sense here?)

Oh the flowers aren't attached at all - they were my first attempts but I gave up on them as by the time I came to joining the back and front I didn't know which was which and they didn't fit together properly LOL.

So I hope they're ok for a first attempt, I'd just appreciate a bit of help before I go on to spoil anymore  Cheesy Thanks

43  Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by Altered Angel on: May 12, 2006 10:52:25 AM
I have half of my body tattooed now, which you probably don't want to see at any time of the day LOL.  But here's a pic of the tattoo I have on my left arm.  I hope you like it, as it's a cover up of previous mistakes  Roll Eyes

44  Please TRY not to ROFL - I tried! What more can I say? :) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Altered Angel on: May 12, 2006 10:33:23 AM
I'm kinda new here, I've been lurking about for a few days looking at all the GREAT jewlery everybody makes, and I'm bored of what I'm doing, so I thought I'd give it a go as it "LOOKED" easy!  Roll Eyes (Ok it wasn't LOL - but I guess you know that bit already)

So my first time EVER at trying some treasures out.  Not I great I know, but I tried.  Ahh well we all have to start somewhere don't we?

Now even posting is a challenge as I have no idea how to add the pic LOL - fingers crossed, here goes!

45  Denim Jacket (with pics) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Altered Angel on: May 06, 2005 06:53:49 AM
I'm not sure that this is reconstructed  Huh as I haven't really 'changed' the actual Jacket at all in structure but I did do the decoration.  It's not exactly finished as I plan to completely cover the whole thing, but as that will probably take FOREVER I thought I'd show it to you now  Smiley

Thanks for looking!

46  My First EVER Jewellery - Photo frame necklace. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Altered Angel on: May 01, 2005 06:18:51 AM
My Sister-in-law has a HUGE gold necklace with a piccy of my bruv in it, it's not really my kind of thing and everybody knows it.  So at a family party she gave me a tiny pic of my O.H. for 'when I get MY necklace'  Roll Eyes

Anyway I thought I'd buy one as a joke to follow up, but I forgot they don't sell gold jewellery as a 'joke' and the price of it reflects that!  Grin

So:  I got a miniture photo frame and removed the stand and a broken necklace and TADA!  The frame was a really nasty dark grey colour though (not very jewellerie) so I painted it with 3D paints to match a bit more.

I thought it was worth posting, incase you're like my sister-in-law, or failing that you could change the piccy to something more to your liking.

Hope you like it?  This is my FIRST jewellery so be gentle!

I've never posted a pic before so if it doesn't work, sorry, and I'll post the link instead  Wink

47  My FIRST Reconstruction ~ Please don't laugh! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Altered Angel on: January 28, 2005 12:25:46 PM
OK I know I'm not going to win seamstress of the year or anything but this is my first reconstruction and I'm quite proud of it as I was going to throw this away!!!

My DD gave me this Faux Fur Crop Jacket that I really liked but I'm a bit past wearing cropped clothes now  Cry and it was also a little short in the arms and tight across the back.

Anyway Fur Gillets (sp?) are all the rage here at the moment and I wanted one but can't afford one, so......................... drum roll LOL

I carefully removed the sleeves and re-sewed the lining and made Fur Leg warmers out of the left over sleeves ~ OK that wasn't very creative but I'm new and I couldn't think of anything better LOL.

I know it's all not exactly rocket science to you clever gals here but at least it's not going in the bin now  Wink

Hope you can see it all ~ I'm not very bright with the computer either!  Oh DUH me!!!!
