Fabulous! It could only be better if it made the 'woooo, wooooo' sound when you open the door.  Oh, and David Tennant walked out.

Oriental Trading usually has these types of things.  Also party shops and toy stores (some craft stores too).  You can get tubes of animals like dinos and zoo creaters, for example.

So you want to get your friend a gift, but don't have the $250 to shell out for a Wii?  For less than a tenth of that , you can craft her a faux-Wii out of her PS2.

Which Wii is Which?

Supplies:
2 skeins Patons Classic Wool (Aran)
1 skein Patons Classic Wool (Dark Grey)
Size 7 knitting needles
1 yarn needle

I made a test swatch to see how the yarn would felt.  That turned out to be useless, since the actual cozy shrank way more than the swatch did.  I ended up having to turn the cozy sideways from the original design.  The width was done as one long panel, and the two sides were sewn in then washed to felt.  The face was stitch on.

Before...

After!

Thanks for looking!
Kit

"Knitchickie" came up with a whole bunch, mostly name related (Nicki, Chickie, Chuck, Chico).  But my favorites are anarchic (yeah  Grin!) and knicker.  Least favorite was chunkier  Tongue.

Thanks for the fun!

Fabulous!  Maybe all start making topsy turvy cakes regularly, so when mine come out crooked anyway I can say it was the plan from the start.  Really a lovely job.
